Oscar suffers the same thing as duran does,,, people only talk about the big fights after their prime,,,,
example:
with duran people always mention quitting vs SRL, hagler, hearns ko, and some even mention the camacho and vinny paz fights,,, but alot ignore the 70's resume of duran,,
Same thing with oscar,, everyone talks about tito, shane, floyd, manny hopkins fights but people often ignore the ike quartey fight which was classic, the vargas fight, leija, paez, molina, genaro, ruelas,

Do people even know that oscar fought jeff mayweather in like his 4 or 5th fight,,, jeff mayweather was a decent fighter and was something like 24-4 when he fought oscar,, and oscar whooped him with less than 5 pro fights,,,,
Oscar was a special fighter and should be considered an ATG,,, he may not be top 10 or 20 but he is def on of the top 100 guys to ever lace'em up

I get the sense that Mak is one of the only people in this thread that actually viewed Oscar's career as it occured.
