The punch wasn't lucky. The fact that Pacquiao was being overly aggressive in the waning seconds of a round he clearly won and fell into a well timed punch was dumb luck. Marquez is a slick boxer with a brawler's mentality. You don't get into a brawl with Marquez. Ask Juan Diaz or Katsidis. Mayweather put Marquez on the floor early in their match but was smart enough to stick to the game plan instead of going in for the kill. Pacquiao got into 2 brawls with Marquez and got the benefit of the doubt in one of them. In the 3rd fight they boxed a bit more, Marquez won IMO, but again Pacquiao got the benefit of the doubt. In the 4th fight he got into another brawl with a harder hitting Marquez and paid the ultimate price. The last instructions the ref give a boxer is protect yourself at all times. Even when a boxer is clearly hurt they can still punch. If you happen to get caught by someone you think you hurt the only person to blame in case you get KO'd is yourself.

I have to admit I couldn't get past about page 5, LMAO !!!
The hate is just a bit much LOL , sorta like sitting around and know you are eating food poisoning LOL !
Pac has got to come back and KO Rios.
I hope JMM KO's Bradley !!
I HOPE then JMM will fight Pac once more to prove the 4th fight wasn't a lucky break as Pac put it , maybe that will erase his first three losses to PAC !!!! I think JMM deserves even money ! Pac will make sure of no mistakes and KO yer precious JMM !!!!!
IF that comes about and JR has not been slain by Canelo or more especially GGG
then yall can pull JR out yer ### and throw him in da ring with PAC and witness yer greatest fears
cause PAC will WHUP JR too

And a judge can still score a round for the person knocked down if he/she chooses, it just doesnt happen very often.

anyone who is not a hater can see what pac is saying
pac was beating up marquez bad, on the verge of stopping him even, but he got reckless because he was put under lots of pressure to get the ko, he had fought normally, he would have won again.
there is a reason marquez avoided the rematch, he knows 9 times out of 10, pac wins.

Look, like I said, I'm calling it straight. I'm not a huge fan of either. Marquez may not owe him a rematch in your eyes, but maybe after the 1st time Pacquiao beat JMM, which to me was the 1st fight, imagine if he had never given Juan a chance for revenge himself? We wouldn't even be having this conversation by that way of thinking. JMM was never Pacquiao's mandatory after the 1st fight so maybe Paquiao never owed him anything either. Have you ever thought of it that way before or does your dislike for Pacquiao make that impossible?

What boxer says no to an easy fight for a career best payday? And to get paid that much to beat up on career nemesis he's been chasing for 8 years? Seems like a dream to most boxers, passing just doesn't compute
As for "retiring Pac for good": Marquez knocked a fighter many believe is one of the best boxers in history out cold in highlight reel fashion. After three close previous fights, if Marquez feels he has nothing left to prove, or wants an even bigger payday to give Pacquiao the opportunity to avenge what his detractors will consider to be a career-defining loss, I don't see anything wrong with that.
That Pacquiao fans are accusing Marquez of ducking a rematch is not a surprise, but let's be honest here: these fans would want to see nothing less than Pacquiao and Marquez fight each other over and over again until they get an outcome they like. Frankly, that will do little for either fighter, and even less for the sport of boxing.
