    • The man is entitled to his opinion something most folks on here don't seem to think others besides them are entitled to. He actually fought the man, you watched...I do believe he knows better than any of us what happened. A 5th fight will happen and for all we know it can be Marquez going to sleep. We know one thing a 5th fight will be both men looking for a k.o.

It's not that a 5th fight wouldn't be cool, I'm saying that calling JMM a b*tch for not taking the 5th fight is wrong. JMM and Pacquiao were serious about the KO it happened, had Pacquiao finished him everyone would have said that rivalry was over because Pacquiao was supposed to win. Why can't Marquez be held to the same standard when he was progressively doing better with each fight.
How was JMM progressively doing better every fight? If anything, it was the opposite. Ouside of one round, JMM pretty much dominated Pac in the first fight. Both the second and third fights Pac fought him pretty even. And the fourth was the first time Pac had any sustained success and looked like the better fighter. I know. Most fight fans know it. And most importantly, JMM knows it. And I suspect that's the main reason he doesn't want a fifth fight.

As for believing the **** that comes outta fighters' mouths. All I can say is I've followed this game far too long to take anything any fighter says seriously. For the most part, the only thing I takes seriously from fighters is what happens between the ropes. Most of the rest of the fight game is WWE bull**** mixed with a lotta political corruption. I don't have the energy to mentally invest in that part of the game.

Nice! People seem to forget that JMM is an elite counterpuncher that has been around for awhile now.

I'm not hating on Manny. In fact it's pretty natural to maintain his confidence by writing off what happened to him as lucky (for Marquez that is). Doesn't change the truth just makes it easier for him to deal with and get back in the ring (which I respect him for).
Manny is a true game bred fighter, unlike most fighters that learn that their craft, and Excel through talent, and experience. Manny excels through being a born fighter. Very few fighters have this trait. The piont is, I think Manny will be fine after the KO, because He's going to do what he was born to do. Fight. I think the lucky break comment is not an excuse, but a natural feeling of his dominance over Marquez, which I feel he truly believes. kind of like if you always beat someone at a GAME, BUT WHEN HE FINALLY BEATS YOU, You feel he got a lucky break this time, and it will not happen again. I'm not saying this is true in this case, but I feel Manny feels this way, because of the way a game bred fighter thinks. He thinks He is always better, and will prove it next time. Even though He might not accually succeed, He will fight just as hard as always.

              • can it be safe to say that JMM got lucky and was able to land a perfect shot?

Some people aren't so lucky with Pac. I think the word lucky is being taken out of context. Its not down playing JMM ability. Or punch. Its stating that he If Manny didnt drop the ball JMM would have been stopped in that fight. Luck or not...Manny was winning! JMM did land a beautiful shot. and Manny is also lucky he got up! .

                • Pac should just be humble and take the loss

It wasn't lucky.. it was well timed.

He was on his way to possibly getting a dec or tko.. what with Marquez nose and the last couple of rounds.. but he got countered perfectly..

Beat Rios.. come back and beat Marquez one more time to prove who the man is..

                  • The punch wasn't well timed at all!! However the end results were perfect for Juan who was on his way to getting hurt by Manny like he was in the previouis round! The punch was the shortest KO punch I've ever seen and it wasn't planned to be that short!!! Manny double feinted and then fell straight it with no punch or movement. When he got hit he had both feet practically off the ground! His right shoulder was even with Juans so he had no defense at all against the force!! It was lucky to land with the force it did and it was Manny mistake but Juan was working a slip and counter that ALL right handed fighters look to use against agressive southpaws so luck doesn't mean **** there!!! Mannys mistake ======Juans win!!!! Ray Corso
