On one hand I agree, why should GGG fight Stevens?

On the other hand, GGG isn't like all the other boxers who only fight 2-3 times a year, when he says he wants to fight 5 times a year, that's a lot. If he's fighting that many times a year, why not set up a fight to add to his KO reel?

But on the other hand I'd like to see GGG go scalp hunting.

GOlovkin would be settling for him. Like i said would you call it ducking if Bailey called Bradley out?

It was Saul Roman, lets not get carried away, he's completely washed up and been stopped 7 times. Just look at Steven's fight against Findley in April. If people watched that, nobody would be calling for this fight

Martinez did admit that he needed his A game to beat Golovkin and you can't expect to be in top form in a fight coming off surgery. but if that's a duck ok

I don't see any other top middleweights out there.

      Martinez is injuried
      Chavez is moving up
      Geale is fighting Barker.
Barker promoter won't put him in with GGG
      Murray won't fight GGG
Sturm doesn't want to fight him
Vera is fighting Chavez at 68
      GGG beat Murray
      Quillin is with GBP
      N'dam doesn't want GG
      Soliman is suspended for PEDs

if you look at the boxrec's top 15 middleweights either they can't fight or don't want to. you got Bursak and Rubio. Bursak is totally unknown in the US and Rubio is just a journeyman who gets beat in every big fight.

Stevens isn't a bad option, he is a lot better than taking another Ishida level fight again.

even ESPN is hyping the possible fight. so it looks terrible when Sanchez is saying no

I'd like to see Golovkin vs Stevens now with the winner getting Chavez if he stays at 160. If not the winner would have to wait until early next year for Martinez. Still there is Kid Chocolate sitting there. A lot going on at MW.

If it's true that Murray was offered more money to fight GGG than he got for Sergio then it is shameful that he turned it down.

Murray was also told that he would be able to keep his WBA belt and ranking if he faced Golovkin next, but nope

GGG should just fight himself, Tyson Fury style. We'll find out if he has a chin or not if he uppercuts himself.

golovking is now officially the middleweight champ. the entire division won't fight him. he wins the crown via duckage/forfeit. he makes martinez turn into mayweather whenever his name is mentioned...umm herp derp i'm injured! can't fight!

Stevens is probably better than half the bums GGG fought as a pro. they market him as being the most avoided boxer in the game but his team doesn't want him to fight Stevens because he's "green"?

Golovkin has earned his spot and his rep. however for a guy who's lacking top quality opponents why not Stevens? a guy who's coming off a big KO win.

the fight would help boost Golovkin's beast status

Chavez is moving up and GGG won't fight at the full 168 (sorry but that's an actual fact, his team didn't wanted Rodriguez at the full 68)

Quillen is with GBP and let's be honest he's just keeping that title warm for Canelo. plus HBO and GBP don't work together.

so I think Abel Sanchez is blowing smoke when he mentions those two names.

I think at the end of the day Stevens would be a good fight for Golovkin because if he doesn't fight somebody calling him out and fights a B/C level guy, the whole most avoided billing kind of fades.
HAHAHAHA Quillin is keeping the title warm for Canelo?
Quillin sparks Canelo in 2 or less
