GGG Knocks out nobodies and now he is the best thing since sliced bread only people that dont know boxing are lauding this kid they talk about stevens inexperience but how much experience does GGG have, and who has he fought? His professional resume is not impressive at all, if stevens and or chocolate can take his punches they will beat him, mark my words when he faces someone with one punch ko power, good skills and a solid chin, he will be exposed as another miranda or kelly pavlik they were saying the same thing about those two until they were exposed. Team Martinez say that GGG is not ready right. And they sure want to cash out against Cotto or even Mayweather. So why not fight Gennady as your tune up, before stepping in against big names for last ppv fight. I mean, Sergio is a King..... or was he ever?)

I'm surprised Main Events isn't jumping on this. Do they really think they can set up Stevens for something big in the future?

Lewkowicz's comments didn't sound like jabs to me. A jab would be Lewkowicz discrediting a Stevens fight knowing it's very likely, not giving a Stevens fight his approval.

He's in line for a shot at the interim and the WBC want him to face JCC Jr, but Jr may be too big.
1 of 2 things will happen.

Rubio will either inherit the WBC belt, if he wins, and become the full champ or the WBC will keep him as an interim champ until somebody they like comes a long and make him the full champ.
Martinez will be out for more than a year by the time he fights again, but WBC already shown they don't care about their rules

Stevens is probably better than half the bums GGG fought as a pro. they market him as being the most avoided boxer in the game but his team doesn't want him to fight Stevens because he's "green"?


Golovkin has earned his spot and his rep. however for a guy who's lacking top quality opponents why not Stevens? a guy who's coming off a big KO win.

the fight would help boost Golovkin's beast status

Chavez is moving up and GGG won't fight at the full 168 (sorry but that's an actual fact, his team didn't wanted Rodriguez at the full 68)

Quillen is with GBP and let's be honest he's just keeping that title warm for Canelo. plus HBO and GBP don't work together.

so I think Abel Sanchez is blowing smoke when he mentions those two names.

I think at the end of the day Stevens would be a good fight for Golovkin because if he doesn't fight somebody calling him out and fights a B/C level guy, the whole most avoided billing kind of fades.
