    Let's end this here............

Cotto doesn't duck anyone, and I don't think he did, though I do think he wanted no part of Mayweather in 2005, but again.....that was most likely Top Rank and Arum.

But his resume is full of mid level fighters, a few good ones, and losses top fighters. He has 3 wins that are above average, Judah-Mosley-Clottey.

So the guys you just named weren't mid level fighters, but elite? lol

Hatton was not "elite" in 04/05. Neither was Witter or Harris. Witter or Harris may have had a belt, but no one was kicking the door down asking for Cotto to fight Junior Witter. Give me a break man.

Hell, in 04, Floyd was still climbling the latter trying to get "that shot". But he was leaps and bounds better than Cotto in 04/05; hence why Cotto was green.

Paulie, Torres and Pinto were all undefeated prospects. Again, I'm not sure what you don't understand about the Hatton/Mayweather fights not being able to happen in 04/05 because Cotto was only boxing for 3-4 years. Mayweather/Hatton were going on 10 years in the game in 05. At that time, Those fight were mentioned as happening in the "future" which is what they went on to do until Floyd retired.

You're just proving to me that you're a boxrec champ. That's all.

        It's all good.
Yeah alright, keep up the trash homie.

Cintron was also coming off beating Angulo in 2009, which wasn't too bad.

You said who were some guys that were around that he could have fought, that he didn't, I wasn't saying he ducked those guys. Good god, read.

But people were asking for Cotto to fight Pinto???

Cotto beat one title holder, Foreman, who you throw out there as a good win supposedly because he was undefeated.

Harris was a title holder, had a few wins over guys at 140 at least. I'm not saying these guys were elite, but there were better fights out there. Cintron and embarrassment or not was a better option than Yuri Foreman. I mean Yuri Foreman never beat anyone.

I really don't use boxrec, only to see if they have the full cards posted up. But cool man.

Cotto was the first guy to beat a lot of guys that never beat anybody else. That's basically what's being said here.

Corrales is about equal to Cotto, maybe you give Cotto a slight edge because he beat Mosley who proved against Margarito that he still could beat good fighters.

Castillo is a slam dunk. So because he didn't technically win, do you not count Whitaker beating Chavez??? Do you count Bradley beating Pacquiao???

Castillo was the best Lightweight of his era, beat every top guy while he was there. Johnston, Lazcano, Corrales, and Mayweather were all highly ranked Lightweights, and guys like Bazan and J. Diaz were also Top 10 Lightweights too.

The highest ranking guy Cotto ever beat as Mosley, who was like #3 at the time at 147. Cotto never came close to beating a #1 fighter in any division he was in.
Are you sure Bazan was a top 5 LW? He lost his rematch agaist Johnston and fought a bunch of no hopers then to get KOed by Castillo.

Lazcano is a solid win but nothing spectacular. I like his Casamayor victory better and that was a close fight. The Diego Corrales first fight is a classic but the second he came overweight.

Castillo probably was the best light weight of the era but his resume is not a spectacular one. Solid and he was also more known for being Chavez Sr sparring partner

Maybe Top 5 was an over statement, I remember him being Top 10 at least.

I'm saying if you take into account both guys wins and most had Castillo beating Mayweather, it's got to be Castillo. If you take into account the first Mayweather fight, it's a land slide by Castillo.

Bazan lost a close rematch to Johnston if I remember right, than he was stopped by Castillo later. Lazcano was coming off stopping Johnston, and was the #1 ranked guy at 135 at the time. That was a pretty good win at the time.
