GGG is currently a middleweight, if he chooses to drop down to 154 and can successfully do so, then he is a JMW.

If GGG were to fight Floyd at 154 - tell me, what division would that be? What division would GGG be classified as at that moment in time? That's right, JMW. You can not label a fighter with a specific weight class indefinitely, it is there own job to do that if they wish.
GGG hasn't dropped to 154, therefore he's a middleweight. Still.

You're furiously avoiding what I say and at the same time replying to something I have never stated.

I clearly said once he has made the weight on the scales he is classed as a JMW. It is not up to you to decide which division a boxer chooses to attempt to fight in. If a JMW fight is scheduled between the 2 and Gennady makes 154 or less - tell me, what is he?

Either give me a legitimate answer or don't bother replying please.

GGG aint ever going to drop 154 lets stop the if's and but's

        But i'll entertain u

"If", (Big "IF") Floyd can first get past Canelo, and GGG can burn all his muscles away to make 154 (the guy probably walks around at 175 -180), i'm sure Floyd would take it, as long as it makes FINANCIAL sense.

Ive entertained ur rubbish, GGG doesn't bring the money and he damn sure isn't making 154. Maybe if GGG can beat some big names and get his name buzzin like Canelo, things might change as for now GGG is a nobody.

And no i am not a Floyd fanboy.

Floyd can probably still make 140. Does that make him a jr welterweight even though he fights at welter? GGG could move up to 175 tomorrow, that doesn't make him a lightheavyweight.

When there is multiple divisions there will always be room for ifs and buts. We would have zero multiple division champions if they were to follow your logic.

In regards to his walk around weight he trains close to all around the year, he walked into the gym before the Macklin fight at 166, so no, he doesn't walk around at the number you stated (not even sure where you pulled it from, I pulled mine from the HBO interview on Abel Sanchez training Gennady).

In regards to your second paragraph I dunno what to say, it's filled with nonsense. First you begin to tell me what you know a fighter can make and what he can't (who are you again?), as if you have any clue on the topic or have any idea what the fighter can make and can't make. I agree with your final point he needs to knock down a few more big names first, although just remember Canelo has really not faced anyone of note besides Trout, he did win, but it wasn't spectacular in any shape or form. Canelo is largely the product of hype created by GB, and a very large mexican following.

If he signs a fight for that specific division and makes the weight on the scales, then yes, it does.

Is that hard to understand? Is there something you're missing? Do boxing rules need explained?

But, he hasn't made the weight so it's irrelevant.

Golovkin has been a professional boxer since 2006 and he has NEVER weighed lower than 159 lbs in his entire career

He's even been as high as 161 lbs on multiple occasions.

The guy is a Middleweight until proven otherwise and I highly doubt a guy who has been a pro since 2006 and has been at Middleweight for the absolute entirety of his career is going to move down to Jr Middleweight anytime soon.

So any fighter can say they are any weight then and that would be fine. In that case.

People lose all sense of "common sense" in regards to Floyd.

Must be weird to hate a guy so much and dedicate ur time and life to unrealistic matchups
so if GGG drops down to 154 a weight which floyd is supposedly a champ in you still deem this fight as ridiculous?

Bottom line is if GGG can make 154 he is not too big for floyd ... he is simply too good.

It's not about saying you can do it it's about doing it .. if he COULD do it then what is your problem with the fight?
