I really don't even like Mayweather that much. I will admit he does have amazing skills but this thread is just pathetic. You really want to see him lose that much by making such an unfair advantage. He shouldn't even be fighting at 154 but he does hold titles there so I can understand him fighting his mandatory titles bouts. I bet you anything he will drop the belts if he beats Canelo unless he would want to drop down to 140 and fight Lucas or Danny and hold titles at 3 different weight classes at the same time. Saying he is a coward for not wanting to fight someone as big and strong as GGG is a pathetic excuse just to hate on him. People will make up anything these days. This guy has some real haters lol.

But, as you say, GGG is simply too big for Floyd, and weight is only one of the indications. Golovkin is also 3 inches taller than floyd, and 2 inches taller than Alvarez.

There are just some people who are so desperate to see Mayweather lose that they would have him completely abandon all sense of logic and take a fight that he's completely outmatched in terms of natural size.

Floyd Mayweather is pushing the limits to be a Welterweight. The guy started out as a super featherweight for crying out light.

And the funny thing is, I don't even like Floyd. But I keep it real unlike his haters.

I'm not sure when you started watching boxing but Floyd began fighting at 130. He's also currently a natural welterweight who has fought considerably bigger guys such as De La Hoya and uhhhhh, his upcoming opponent.

He's also giving up anywhere between 10-15 pounds on fight night in virtually every fight.

This is what he HAS done. But hey, I guess it's cool that GGG is WILLING to fight guys 1 division up. Maybe he actually will one day too!

No they wouldn't. Mayweather has many bigger fish to fry as for example the winner of Garcia-Matthysse would be. Hell, even an Amir Khan fight would possibly do better as he is an established fighter in america. Martinez would do well, at this moment in time, only hardcore fans in america knows who GGG is. That maybe change in the next year or so, but that's how it is at the moment.

GGG and Martinez should focus on fighting each other rather than fight a guy that could still make 135.

GGG would earn him respect, theres the main difference.

De la Hoya was old and slowed down when Floyd fought him. He needs to fight a prime guy like GGG to get real legacy recognition.
