Will Mayweather fight Golovkin?

Feel sick?? Anywho, isn't Quillen promoted by Golden Boy? The HBO BS may come in between this fight which would be unfortunate. And aren't they talking about GGG and Murray being close? Macklin is a decent fighter, a good win for GGG, but nothing special.Comment

Up until now, it was understandable why some guys at MW would not want to fight him being that he wasn't popular yet. But as you said, with him having 3 fights on HBO now, hopefully someone will step in the ring with him. I think he is a beast, I just get tired of everyone calling out Mayweather and then BS goes crazy with the ducking accusations. With the HBO-GBP divorce, a lot of potential match ups won't happen and even though people know this, they still claim someone is ducking someone else.Golovkin's people have said Ward's name. They've said Hopkins's name as well. He's tried to fight Quillin and been turned down. His people have said he's willing to fight any champion from 154 to 175, and mentioned the names. Obviously calling out fighters and actually trying to make those fights are two different things, but he has mentioned lots of names, not just Mayweather. He's tried to fight many middleweights, and most turn him down. Hopefully they won't anymore, now that he's getting considerable HBO backing.
Golovkin's focus, rightfully, is on middleweight. All this other talk should just be talk until he's finished establishing himself as the best there. If he really wants Mayweather, he can move down to 154.Comment

The confidence of his coach. Coaches are usually reluctant to move their fighters down in weight but Abel Sanchez thinks it's not a problem at all, he's more than keen.
We disagree on all the other points so I'm not going over old ground. Suffice to say Bad Glass Jawson and Older De La Fishnets came with the excuses when they got outclassed.Comment
