Calzaghe vs Ward: Who had the tougher competition?

I'm not sure what's funnier,The Kessler that Joe fought and beat is far better than the one Ward beat.
Lacy was better than Abraham.
Near prime Eubank that Joe beat was far better than Froch.
Yeah I'm not seeing how Wards best wins are better than Joe's at 168.
Also 2006 Bika > 2010 Bika that Ward couldn't put a dent in.
Someone saying that that version of Eubank was near his prime despite not having a legit win in years and being unranked at 168 or saying that that version of Eubank is better than Carl Froch.Comment

Tell me about it. Calzaghe fans are amongst the most delusional fan bases ever.Comment

True.
Lacy was still the goods and could beat most top guys.
To be fair though RJJ was near prime when he fought Joe. I wouldn't say prime because that was probably 2 years before but he was still very close to it and Joe beat a still great version of Roy pretty easily at Roy's best weight.
Nothing left to see here.Comment

Pretzel around anymore ur gonna throw out ur backListen up before your bias takes over and hear me out. Joe Calzaghe was up and coming during the time of Irish Steve Collins, Nigel Benn, And Chris Eubank then after winning the title the competition slipped to Michell, Brewer, and Reid. At the end of his career it picked up again to include Lacy and Kessler. Joe beat all but 2 of the names I listed and would've beaten Collins if he didn't retire suddenly when the fight looked like it would happen.
Ward was up and coming in the era of Kessler, Froch, and Abraham. Yes he beat them all but would you put them at the same level as the British trio Calzaghe had as contemporaries? IMO they are all below slightly. So if you look at Joes resume to ward then Joe's is far superior.Comment

Eubank was certainly not shot. Slightly past his prime. Still a big test for a young Calzaghe who hadn't fought anyone near that calibre.Comment
