First of all Trinidad was a career welterweight and he fought Jones at Light Heavyweight plus he hadn't had a fight in years. Hopkins dominated and KTFO a prime Tito so I don't see how you can think Jones was more impressive.

Jeff Lacy should have been stopped against Calzaghe. The guy was basically a **** victim after that fight.
I did see RJJ at his best and the performances against Tito and Lacy were right up there with his greatest ever. How the hell you can deny that those fights weren't very very good performances by Jones is amazing. Either you seriously hate the man and are blinded by bias or you have lost your mind.

      They were good performances.....

.....against fighters who were even more shot than him.

So you finally have admitted that RJJ put on great performances against world class fighters.

        Thank you for realizing that.

At the end of his career it picked up again to include Lacy and Kessler. Joe beat all but 2 of the names I listed and would've beaten Collins if he didn't retire suddenly when the fight looked like it would happen.

Ward was up and coming in the era of Kessler, Froch, and Abraham. Yes he beat them all but would you put them at the same level as the British trio Calzaghe had as contemporaries? IMO they are all below slightly. So if you look at Joes resume to ward then Joe's is far superior.
Why is it always the guys that first bring up the word 'bias' that end up being BY FAR the most blindly biased posters in the thread?

I'd say Ward..I mean the tournament meant alone was brutal..Then he also took out Dawson in fine fashion..I think Ward is the clear winner of this thread..

I'd say there are some with such strong hatred of Joe they picked Ward even though no one can dispute that a younger Kessler was better, Eubank was a far superior fighter than froch, and Lacy was better than Abraham.

Those are Wards best wins unless you count his KO of the severely weight drained Chad.

I would say Kessler was more experienced,I don't agree that Eubank is superior to Froch esp not at the point Joey fought him..Lacy would have been KO'd by AA..Stop it..
