Just fought at 147 AGAIN And now he's going up again against a champ over a decade younger and 15-20 lbs heavier and people are crying foul because of 1lb? stop it.

and im saying this as someone who doesnt like cw fights for titles.

All honesty he shouldve been stripped of the 154 title for not defending it in over a year. So we wouldnt have to hear this bs
I agree. I think its ****** to have this catchweight but, hey im not really gonna sit here and complain the fight will still be great and it was a fight that I'm pretty sure 95% of people wanted to see Floyd take next.

Floyd just fought once this year at 147 and is fighting like 4 months later if my math is correct against a guy who fights at 154 and balloons back up to 170 on fight night. I'm not some Floyd fan making excuses but just someone thats glad this fight got made even though theres a catchweight

I posted about a similar situation my thread (not exact). Miguel Cotto won then defended the wba Jr middle belt and than asked for a 150lbs catch weight against Antonio Margarito. The two sides eventually settled on a catch weight of 153lbs. Difference here Margarito did not have a belt of his own and Cotto had back to back fights at 154lbs.

Not close enough huh? Only if Margarito was champion would it be the exact same thing.

What was "intelligent" about your post? I said Mayweather seems to only fight old, slow, past prime fighters at 154.

Your response was along the lines of "Well so doez Canelo...lolz"

How is that even a rebuttal??!

If size doesn't matter and if skills pay the bills, asking a young, unbeaten fighter to come down to 152 (a weight he probably hasn't been at in years, even though it's only 2 pounds less). What is he hoping to achieve?
Gotta love how you're going to skip the fact that Canelo initiated the cw stating he'd go to 50, not Floyd. So blame Canelo, hater
