  • Canelo has been wanting Floyd for a long time. Maybe he is crafting his style into one that would be effective against mayweather. He is deadly accurate. ODLH fought him very close. Canelo would likely win a few if not several rounds. Floyd waits too long to fight this kid and the kid will surpass him.

Just shows how high the bar is set for floyd when robert guerrero is considered a cherry pick even though he's still in his prime and a top welter

          Of course.

But that's to be expected at this point.

Floyd has resorted to being a one punch and done fighter. Lead right hand then move or hold.
If Canelo fights patiently it means he is boxing and boxing Floyd only gets him beat up. Canelo plan has to be come in at about 170,(he was 172 against Trout)and throw the weight behind his power shots hoping he can land a few. Floyd sr.
already said you can call it what you choose 154 or 147 but the fight nite limet for Canelo will be 160.

At some point even his strongest critics are going to have to start yielding because only a select few of ATGs were able to compete at that level.
IF'S don't mean **** bro. Fact is Floyd ducked the best. He got zero prime fighters on his resume going on 12 years since he left 135. Not to mention he spent his own prime years on the shelf vacationing. Whats great about that as far as boxing is concerned? Might be great for a lifestyle but it don't make u all time great.

              • This guy is right who the **** was Robert ****ing Guerrero, all of floyds groupies deliberately hyped him up as if he was some kind of credible opponent but true boxing fans knew he stood no chance and was tailor made for Floyd. I think Canelo is a bit too inexperienced for Floyd but if he makes him do the stanky leg ill be happy.

Hatton: future HOF'r that probably had the second best win of his career prior to fighting Floyd.

Mosley: future HOF'r that had probably the second or third best win of his career prior to fighting Floyd.

JMM: future HOF'r had the signature win of his career two year after fighting Floyd.

Actually, there were quite a few Floyd haters that were hyping Guerrero up when Floyd announced that he was fighting Alexander. Ironically, many of those same people are criticizing Ghost now.

                    • Here is canelo alvarez's boxing record. Look closely at how many no name fighters he has fought in mexico the majority of his career before coming to the states and fighting. Even then he started fighting bums before he fought a notable opponent and there's only 2 notable names to claim. ( old Mosley, and a under performer in trout). But anyway notice all the Mexican in Mexico fights, the opponents were garbage look at the records. In fact some of them were like 8w 21L! SMH. Canelo is a fraud making his way up on bull ISH fights with help of de la Hoya! GTFOH what a joke! And Floyd's pose to be the cherry picker, y'all need to get the facts straight!
