That maybe be true in the back of Oscar's mind but he has thought the last 8 guys were going to beat Mayweather. So I believe he wants someone to beat Mayweather more than he wants to protect a cash cow so-to-speak because it is the deepest rooted desire. He wants Floyd to lose sooooo bad se that he can party like its 1999 (like the song) and that lust burns in him. Oscar may need therapy if Floyd retires undefeated. I bet Oscar would come out of retirement cause he cant stand Floyd not getting humbled by a loss. He would entice Floyd with a huge payday. But the fact is no Boxer has ever retired undefeated - in life that is. Oscar can take solice is knowing that Floyd will age, get diseases, have body parts break easier, need assistance, cane, wheelchair, etc. No one gets out of this life without pay the price that time takes away from the body. Hard to be arrogant if he is walking with a cane or facing the breakdown of his body before ultimately dying. Life takes away that arrogance. Time is the great equalizer. No one is undeafeated in every way.

How would you enforce the "ring entrance weight limit"? You couldn't force Canelo to drop weight on the day of the fight when he dropped weight the previous day. That would lead to a sure cancellation.

He wouldn't have to drop weight if he rehydrated properly. Put a stipulation that he weighs in the day before at 154 and that he cannot weigh more than 164 before leaving the dressing room to enter the ring. That gives him up to 10 pounds to gain in one day and no more. I think it is only fair to have a cutoff weight or a penalty or cancellation if he cannot meet that. Maybe he won't make the 164 but that keeps him in check at least and Floyd could determine a penalty if there is one if he comes in higher than 164. Something has to be done in general with Boxing and the best option is same-day weigh in which is a rule that should be brought back.

In his last fight against Trout, Canelo entered the ring at 171. He walks around at 175

He entered the ring at that weight because there is no control after a fighter makes the weigh-in so that gives a fighter complete and free reign. Doing it the way I suggested would keep reigns on Canelo freely gaining whatever he wants. Personally, I don't think it is fair for Canelo to come in at 171 unless the opponent comes in somewhere near that or at least not further apart so thats why I suggest 164 cutoff.

But there no excuse to not fight Matthysse if you claim to be the best
Being 165 against Floyd Mayweather wouldn't necessarily work in his favor.

a fighting champion will ultimately come to an end.

ROCKY M didn't but he retired after fighting all comers.

JR has Cherry picked and ducked all threats and as long as he does that he can go undefeated

                      but

if that continues and really its already gone 8 years too long in the ducking, he will go undefeated.

only with a few that grew up with him will say he is the greatest BAH !

I thought you said Robert was gonna beat him and bet points on here was that a cherry pick? If so why did you bet on Rob? It's funny how you have yet to answer that question I wonder why!
