Dude Trout is not really a proven fighter(let's be honest),Hatton Corrales JLC Hernandez Hoya Gatti Mosley were all proven fighters..Oh and went on to be HOF fighters..Trout has a long ways to go before being anywhere near the class of all the fighters(with exceptions to Hatton who I would induct imo)named..

Great post..Vise Versa...Mayweather aint no Trout neither, much quick, much more talented, much more skilled and much more smarter...and Vegas is not Texas, your not going to have Score Cards Already Filled Out In Your Favor going into the fight and With Open Scoring to Throw Your Opponent Off And Effecting The Way he Fights
I know fans just love talking **** about Mayweather I get all that but lets not get crazy here, Mayweather is Mayweather and when it comes to pure Boxing Skills in that ring Canelo is not even on the same planet as Mayweather
This is why I think he should take that fight and say to hell with the weight, let him come in at 172 or what ever, he has no footwork he can't cut the ring off, he can't fight inside to take advantage of his weight advantage, he jab is average and his Stamina is AWFUL, take the fight and just ***in school this young fighter just because you can and make an example out of him so all his fan can come back and say "ALL MAYWEATHER DID WAS RUN THAT IS WHY HE BEAT CANELO"
Then they can go back to the Matthysse Bandwagon and say "MAYWEATHER DUCKING MATTHYSSE" or "Mayweather Fought Canelo Who Was 172, He Might As Well Fight GGG At 160" so the hate is not going to stop, fans will always find a bandwagon to pile on so they can remain Anti-Mayweather lolComment

I guess you missed this part of my post: "This is why I think he (Mayweather) should take that fight and say to hell with the weight, let him come in at 172 or what ever"But thats not the bottom line. The bottom lines is fights are made to prove who the best is. Otherwise, lets just make a list of all the fighters Mayweather can beat and anyone else for that matter and never have him fight again. Fights are watched for skills and action and what is on paper, doesn't always turn out that way in the ring. Anything can happen. But saying a guy doesn't have the skills of another guy or doesn't deserve it when the guy is clearly one of the best, doesn't negate the need for the fight.
I want to see the fight, I hope Schaefer and Haymon are able to get the fight done, Regardless if it is not a fighter today that would be considered a favorite over Mayweather, he still have 5 fights left on his Deal with Showtime so yeah, I am all for seeing him against a lot of these fighters fans are hyping up at the moment and consider them "THE BEST" but at the same time when he picks apart fans hype Job, they don't give props, they make excuses and find the next Bandwagon to jump on and hype up as "THE GUY THAT CAN BEAT MAYWEATHER" it is never going to stop lets be realisticComment

I didn't miss any part but it's not always about fans finding someone to beat Mayweather. Some of us just enjoy the fights and the odds will never be against Mayweather unless some special fighter comes along which I doubt will happen before Mayweather retires. But I'm not going to discount a fight or its value just because Mayweather is favored, or someone says his skills are too much for the opponent, nor come up with reasons why he shouldn't fight guys just because most see his skills as superior. >>>>>>>>>>>>>>

What's wrong with it benefiting Canelo? Don't you want Floyd to fight someone that is at his best? Or do you prefer Floyd always fighting relatively a "greener" version of himself or "out of prime version"?Or better yet, he should fight Canelo in 2016.
The longer this fight takes to make, the more it will benefit Canelo. Floyd should make the fight later this year. Who gives a **** about Lara/Angulo? Canelo has all the time in the world to fight one or both of those guys down the road.Comment
