No FB chatting with by the minute updates like usual on my feed. Nobody cared. The only messages I get lately is whether I believe Cotto has one last great performance in him to fight Canelo and win. People are also anticipating Swift vs winner of Lucas and Matthyse. Already planning a Barclay's trip for that oneComment

Anyone who is legitimately shocked by the news (albeit a bit premature given that nothing is official yet) needs to be mentally checked. Very poor promotion from the start. Also comparing ODLH to Mayweather numbers is silly. Can you imagine the numbers Oscar would have done if he had the benefit of shows like 24/7 (yes I'm aware he was on there a few times) and social media/internet to the extent and reach of today? Lets also not forget that one of the two is currently running the show the other is still at work.
If the numbers hold true, hopefully this means a name opponent next time around. At the risk of sounding a bit infatuated with the fight, I'm legit surprised he just won't fight Manny already. Easy money according to most.Comment

because floyd used pacs name to generate more ppv buys, whether anyone likes it or not, he used pacs name to sell his ppv but pac did the same
people now know there is 0 chance of the fight happening, this will impact both ppvs
I expect pacs to barely break 800k if I am honest, more around the 700k mark actually, floyds will not do 1m ppv, I am sure they will add around 100k buys to make it look better than it is
The difference is Bob Arum is a savvy business man, he is very smart, he can make money of Pacman without Floyd, Floyd needed Pac to sell.
The pac vs. Rios will probably only do 250-300 k ppv buys in the states, but the key is the 5 dollar ppv on china, if Arum can get 100 million chinese to buy that pacquiao fight and promote pac in china it will do way more money than he would make in the states.Comment
