No official PPV #'s yet for Floyd but 2 industry sources tell me they look bad (under 1M). We'll see. If true, heavy $$ losses for Showtime.
Thoughts on this if true? He also says that break even was between 1.1 - 1.2

If we see some losses on this; some fights are going to get cut

That's what happens when he's fighting a fighter no one wants to see him fight. Everyone already knew he was going to beat Guerrero easily

I buy all PPV and that all i care about.

I will say this i have noticed that streaming has become the future of this sport and many people i know do that now. I still buy all but this streaming has become huge i see. The days of million buys may be over.

            This.

Implications for Floyd's next fight? he'll be pressured to fight a marketable name.

            So...Khan, Canelo, Ortiz etc

Well I predicted around 900K, so that would be about right. Given how much money Showtime gave Floyd, it's not good for them.

But 900K isn't bad considering it was Guerrero.

I heard about that too, It seems like they are really low numbers, if you noticed at the weigh in they had lots of empty seats, on fight night they had lots of empty seats scattered around, they still had tickets for sale and gave many comp tickets away to help fill the seats they get tax writeofs for those comp tickets, UFC does it all the time to give the impression that every event is sold out. I think the reason is not many people knew the fight was going down. CBS isn't a station that works well with boxing fans, mostly older people and boxing non demographic audience watch that channel.

If it was HBO the fight would have been better promoted on TNT and TBS the people who watch that would be more likely to order a fight.

Or Pacquiao getting knocked out cold could have made the casual fan lose interest. Remember Floyd used Pacquiao's name to promote his fights, this was the only fight he couldn't do that.

How will he get 32 million if not enough people paid 70 dollars for the ppv?
