Lol wait until Rios Vs Pacquiao, might not even hit 600,000.

Just do the math. If it did 900k and showtime needed 1.1 million to break even they're 200k short. 200k*$70=$14 million short of breaking even.Comment

It's unsuccessful if the break even point for the network is 1.1 - 1.2m. That means fewer fights on SHO, and GBP will have to find another outlet for their high priced rosterComment

Why do you people care?Comment

I predicted around 800k. Still relatively huge numbers but low for Floyd's standards post 2006. I'm sure Showtime was expecting one million buys and took a slight loss if this is true.Comment

they needed to sell 1.1 Million to break even.
They lost money thus it was unsuccessful. Can you comprehend that?Comment
-
Bottom line is boxing fans should care because this might ruin Showtime's boxing budget for the year... Which means less fights for us.Comment

Why such a low prediction? Leonard Ellerbe said Floyd is the cash cow and predicted it would break showtime records.
I thought this fight would do 1.1-1.25 ppv buys since it was his comeback bout.
But from what casual fans were telling they would say who cares? the Pacquiao fight is already dead.
Casuals and Mexican fight fans who love toe to toe action are the most important demographic they are the ones who bring the money not the few 1 percent diehards who many of them just watch streams online.Comment

I'm not hoping the Showtime deal falls through, I am hoping it puts pressure on Mayweather to fight Canelo.Comment
