very good comparison, canelo is nothing more than a mexican joshua clottey.

Canelos D was excellent tonight and completely surprised me. Its funny how people overlook that aspect of the fight and choose to act like it never existed. His head movement, was on point and had Trout missing everything.

There was one knockdown, and that was really the only round Canelo had Trout hurt, and even then.....Trout out worked and did the better work the rest of the round.

You can't win a round fighting hard for 30-45 seconds, when your opponent is throwing 20-30 more punches in the round, when you only land a couple good shots. Unless those shots really change the round, like the 7th.
did u score winky vs solimon for solimon??

trout was throwin millions of ineffective jabs.. and one cost him the kd. it wasnt a spectacular performance by canelo but the rounds were close enough to have either fighter winning.

rds. 3-5 were hard rds. to score.
if it wasnt for the open scoring trout would have been even more conservative with his punches. canelo didnt throw as many punches but he was throwing with bad intentions.

for every 5-7 air jabs trout threw, Canelo landed a right hand to the body.
i dont know about u but id rather get grazed by a soft jab than get hit by a heavy right hand to the body.

If Peterson or Matthysse win convincingly, because Canelo didn't beat Trout convincingly, why not???

Canelo looked like utter s**t, and didn't even use his post fight interview as a chance to call out Floyd. I still want to see Mayweather-Canelo, but Canelo should fight the Lara/Angulo winner next.

Maybe because defence doesn't win rounds, landing punches does.

Canelo didn't look great, though I felt he won.

                    lmao "why not"

                    are you serious?

He makes Hatton move up to 147. Cheats Marquez on the scales at 144, and now, instead of defending the belt he won at 154, you'd prefer to see him against another jr welterweight?

                    I am completely not surprised.

i was gonna say something about that, but i had to re-watch to be sure, it's about how i remember it, with trout also landing maybe a bodyshot, canelo on the other hand clearly landed some good jabs over trouts jabs, and worked him on the inside(after trout landed a low blow on the inside) end of the round
