I'll say it... Guillermo Rigondeaux is probaby the most skilled boxer of all time.

I don't think it would be argued by anyone reasonable that Floyds win over Corrales was more Significant than Rigos win over Donaire.Comment

A lot people have already come to the conclusion that Rigo would beat Mares, the #2/3 guy around those weight classes, so then what? He goes on to beat a bunch of guys that aren't as good as Donaire, and racks up a crazy winning streak.
So, by default, him beating Donaire was a HUGE HUGE win.Comment

He was not gun shy, boxing does not make you gun shy. Moving does not make you gun shy. Countering does not make you gun shy.
You just said he struggled with Cordoba, now you are saying that the scoring was bad and he didn't really struggle as bad as you were saying, but you still didn't like the fight.Comment

So you feel that Lacy was better quality than Donaire?
Vargas was not of the quality of Donaire.
You feel Pacquiao was better quality than Donaire at the time of the Morales fight? Pacquiao was a beast, but he was never on the skill level of Donaire from a technical stand point.
Tito was never at the skill level of Donaire.
Mosley's win over DLH was not comprehensive, nor was it a schooling.
Margarito's win over Cotto... really? I love Cotto, but Cotto was not on the level of Donaire.
Moorer was not on the level of Donaire.
Serious, name me a win of the quality that Rigondeaux had last night.Comment

Edit: Had to look it up cause its been awhile, but in comparison to Rigo-Donaire... here you go.
Mayweather was The Ring's #2-ranked super featherweight in the world (and #7 pound-for-pound), while Corrales was the #1-ranked super featherweight in the world and #5 pound-for-poundLast edited by Grimgash; 04-14-2013, 03:03 PM.Comment

You don't know boxing. We could also conclude then that Mark Breland was a great fighter by your logic. You can only ever truly judge a fighter on the basis of his resume.Comment

He just beat Donaire, but Rigo's not a great pro? Dude, what's your major malfunction kid?Comment

People are putting name over skills. Donaire is a HIGHLY skilled power puncher. If Donaire was the same size as those guys, he'd be racking up KO's at WW, MW, JMW, whatever weight class you wanna put him at, and people would be calling him one of the greatest boxer/punchers because he's fighting at a higher weight class.Comment
