There are many styles of fighting and Pac is none of those "waits his opponent to punch first then punch and run". Pac is a type of fighter who uses his attributes (speed, power, chin) into full effect. If you notice most of his opponents (Barrera, Diaz, Oscar, Hatton, Cotto, Clottey, Mosley, Margarito, etc.) suffered a one sided beating in his hands. Even Morales and Marquez in all those fights Pac hurt them most and gave them hell more than any fighters they fought.
Who needs to be a boxer when you can beat the crap of out your opponents while looking good in doing so to everybody?Last edited by straightleft; 04-08-2013, 08:03 PM.Comment

he's a smart boxer, like most athletic phenoms he likes to use his athleticism, his strenght and power, and really feels a need to put some hurt on his opponents with his punches and so likes to throw everything into a punch, it's a strenght, but also a weakness
look at roy jones, some people actually think he was only good because he was fast, and as soon as that speed went he started getting clobbered
look at it this way, marquez is considered a super smart boxer, but it's not like pacquiao has been outboxed by an average boxer and he takes marquez to hell everytime they fight
some people(guessing people that never actually boxed) dont realise you can't stay at the high level being ******Comment

Slightly above average ring IQ imo. He'll make little adjustments like countering the jab with the strait left ( knocked jmm down with it in the last fight, also hit cotto with it alot). One thing that I knock him is his inability to cut the ring off. He just doesn't know how to cut the ring off, he just follows you.Comment

Pac is a very smart fighter, he fights the way he does because it works for him. Despite what every other person mutters, he is not a brawler. He has a rhythm with his in and out style and head movement that makes him a very hard puzzle to solve. He knows how to counter very well but he usually doesnt because he doesnt have to. People tend to confuse technicality with skill. The ultimate display of skill and smarts is winningComment
