I love Bhop, the guy really is the ancient master and all that, but Hagler would have mauled him I don't care what anyone says. Might not have knocked him out, but he would beat him around the ring for 12, or 15 like Hagler used to go.

Toney would smoke check Bhop also, Toney is a legitimate throwback fighter not just a crafty smart guy who knows the tricks of the trade and a little old school flavor, Toney fights at any weightclass, anywhere, the guy can come off the couch and go 12 rounds.

I'd back Toney to beat Hopkins at 160 and 168.

I know he won those fights. My point was to show you how he boxes, and how he fights. He's not some unbeatable guy like a prime Roy Jones. I can see a boxer like Hopkins out boxing him.

I look at it as Hagler beat better fighters and is the better fighter.

What Hopkins is doing at his age is incredibely but people forget that Hopkins' career really kicked off late in age in comparison to others.

Not me, Hopkins didn't take rounds off in his prime, Toney did and that against Hopkins would cost him. Hopkins would have out boxed him.

If again we're talking about a prime B-Hop then slowing down the pace wouldn't have been much of an issue as Hopkins would have kept up with him. In the end, I feel Hopkins had the durability, defense, ruggedness; physical strength to stay with him and eventually win a decision. Hagler too much for Hopkins? That sounds like a joke man, he wouldn't have been too much of anything, don't think any MW in history would have been.

Hopkins would move plenty against Hagler. Not to mention, he would ambush Hagler as well. You know not of what you speak.
ever actually watch Hagler fight? I'm not gonna sue you

Hopkins with his iron chin and awkward style would have given Hagler nightmares. From what I've seen, Hagler's style would have been easy for B-Hop to exploit.

For all those saying Hopkins wouldn't be able to slow the pace down enough or he wasn't 'cute' enough... go watch the Trinidad fight.

Hagler would lose a UD in a competitive fight but one clearly controlled by Bhop
