The naysayers use the only real reason that his resume is lacking. All of his other qualities are omitted. And as you pointed out, he along with his bro beat the best of their era, so their resumes can't in fact be 'lacking'. It's a myth that Vitali has a poor resume.Comment

And which one of those wins is "notable" exactly? I see a lot of journeymen has been pointed out, and some who briefly held a version of the title. I also see fighters who never had a single good win, and were never in the top 10.Solid and notable wins for Vitali:

And //Thread.I see dudes get dogged all the time that have way better accomplishments than Vitali.
Seriously what in the grand scheme of boxing history has he done, what fight am I going to tell my kids about that he won? Even if my kids turned in to bigger boxing heads than me I would expect them to say "huh, Who?" when talking about Vitali's best wins .
I mean seriously and I am not even a big time resume guy in determining greatness but you have to beat some reasonably noteworthy guys, not all that is his fault and Vitali is a very good fighter who I am sure could compete with some very quality heavyweight names but he has had a long career and what does he really have to show for it legacy wise that compares in any way favorable to any great heavyweight.
This is all that needs to be said.Comment

Apart from Ryan, Schiesser, Spinelli and Puritty, I agree with your list . These are definitely notable wins. I would maybe erase Johnson from the list as he is a master in defense but he fights like a little girl. I would add, instead of Johnson , Corrie Sanders.Solid and notable wins for Vitali:

To me, what makes Vitali trully an Atg is his style and his mental toughness.
He barely got hit during his career. The only time he got hit was against Lewis who is also an amazing fighter.
He had to go through something like 7 surgeries ( or even more) , had to retire during 4 years and came back stronger than ever.
That is being a true champion : having the skill and the will.Comment

Garbage resume and he's a title holder not the champion. If there was 1 title like back in the day he'd be a nobody.Solid and notable wins for Vitali:
