Too bad Floyd lacks the balls to take this fight.
If Floyd did grow a pair I got Martinez 9th rd TKO

SM has that clone Roy Jones Jr style, hands down leaning over while motioning his head to the right. He’s stays on the outside because he has no inside game. He uses the right hand as a jab/counter to set up for the left when he sees you off balance or out of position. SM is not a defensive fighter and gets hit. When you start to toughing him with punches, he throws flurries to make sure he doesn’t fall behind on points. He uses this same routine every fight.
Let’s look at who SM has fought that we knew or know about. No heart Cintron, The zombie brothers Paul/Kelly, Serhiy Dzinziruk who is he, Barker and Macklin. Barker did a good job by using the jab and not just rushing in. Barker allowed SM to throw flurries and was to over protective in the fight. Marklin was an easy target, off balance, feet to far apart and didn’t have a good jab. He knock SM down because he kept his left foot on the ouside of the lefty right foot which is what you suppose to do. It make the lefty have to step over your foot to get out the way, which leave him out of position and subject to a punch.Last edited by BlackSilk; 03-22-2012, 10:48 AM.

Those attributes as well as having an awkward style is the reason he would be tough to deal with. He's knocking out middlweights! You mentioned Marquez easily out pointing Martinez, I hope your trolling with that comment. Marquez is geat, a true legend, but he is now a blown up lightweight trying to make money before he retires, and your telling me he beats Martinez the middleweight champion of the world?
Martinez is bigger and stronger than Mayweather, no doubt about that. But he is not faster than anyone Mayweather has faced. I find it odd for anyone to even say that. I would give you that for maybe Pacquaio, but not for anyone else really. And his awkward wild style is exactly what makes him fodder against a true boxing technician because they will know how to pick that apart really easily.
Marquez and Martinez, if they were to fight at the same weight (where Martinez didn't have a major size advantage of 20 lbs, but more like lets say 5 to 10), he would have fits dealing with Marquez. Marquez would tear him apart because he has a far higher boxing IQ and much more sound boxing skills. Martinez would get schooled. Martinez is no different from Pacquaio and Hamed with the exception of size. When faced against boxing technicians, they always get schooled. Their athletic gift only gets them so far.
But obviously, this is just a fictitious scenario since there is no way either of them can ever fight each other due to the size difference.

Other than that -- I agree with everything you said. =)
