Unfortunately the outlet I watched has no after=fight interviews. I would imagine that what he meant about "not doing it again" was about his DUI, the curse of all athletes. After the DUI at nearly 5.a.m. he likely was coming from a late, late party, and being boozed up like that, a bettor would have placed his bets on Rubio. I wonder if that changed the direction of some of the smart money. Still he fought a really tough guy, and did well. He is getting better, but takes too much punishment. He weighed in at 159.5lbs. I think they said he had to make a second trip back to the scales and strip. Came in fight night at 181lbs. Damn.... wth? And he seems adimant about staying at 160lbs. I don't get why? He's killing himself every fight. When Merchant asked him what he was going to do to change it so he doesn't have to dehydrate, he just basically said "don't do it again". But.... he will, I'm sure of it. He needs to move up for sure.Comment

People always try to discredit JCC JR.
When he fights a young guy-- "Oh he's too young..."
When he fights Rubio-- "Oh he's too old..."
When he beats Sergio Martinez-- "Oh he's just an overrated bum soccer player hypejob..."
Bottom line is 45 have tried, 45 have failed.Comment

He's not ducking Martinez. His career is still being brought along judiciously, and when his team believe that he can beat Martinez, he will fight him. Compared to most, he's still a bit "green", and as he's taking on stronger challenges with each successive fight. you can see the improvement. That means something is being done properly. I agree with his way of progress.Comment

No, Larry was asking Chavez if was planning on going up in weight and he was imphatic that he wasn't going to move up. Then Larry asked him if he's having to go through so much pain to drop the weight, what will he do different in order to not struggle with the weight again next time. That's were the "don't do it again" thing came in. I assume he just meant "don't let my weight get up so high that I have to lose 15 pounds, 2 weeks prior to the fight and then have to dehydrade and hydrate etc.etc.Unfortunately the outlet I watched has no after=fight interviews.
