I had it for Chavez Jr 118 to 110 Rubio didn't show my nothing it was he's second time fighting for a belt and he simply didn't want it. I only give him two rounds the 4 and the 10 round he just didn't do enough for me. I can't wait for Chavez Jr to fight somebody more skilled I gotta give Chavez Jr props for making it look easy.

A little disappointed in the way Rubio fought for most that fight, but man were the last few rounds entertaining. Chavez should earn some points with the boxing public for that. His competition is getting better.

Well, you have to consider that the 20 lbs are mostly liquid replacement. Should only make you stronger if you felt weak from dehydration. That was likely his "walking around" weight, and. can be dangerous if not done properly. It's well known that athletes who over-rehydrate can and do die because of it. Especially long distance cyclist racers.

Against Mayweather, Corrales nearly killed himself to stagger to the scales at 130 (after failed attempts) he rehydrated to 147, and in the process may have got a case of hyponatremia, which upset his metabolytic balance. (The poor guy was half-delirious and moved in a haze throughout the fight)

That's were the "don't do it again" thing came in. I assume he just meant "don't let my weight get up so high that I have to lose 15 pounds, 2 weeks prior to the fight and then have to dehydrade and hydrate etc.etc.
Thanks Lorily for the info. I suppose that was the crux of the whole point he was making. [ I thought it might have been the DUI that they are all carefully not discussing.

Come on people the boxing public is not ******!!! Chavez Jr. is a flat out BUM!! There is no way this slop deserves to be a champion. When he starts to fight real opposition and win in clear fashion then we might start to give him some credit. Rubio should have been an easy knock out for Chavez and yet he looked horrible in getting the victory.

Everyone has a plan until they get in the ring vs. JR. They find out real fast, things are different than they look on tape.

Literally took one from a page in Floyd's book. SMH. And when your boy decides to fight Canelo or Sergio, then we'll stop talking about that bum.
