    We'll see.......

I like your sarcasm. Boxing isn't all about KOing your opponent. Sometimes beating them up at their fight is enough. Hats off to the kid who has no amateur background! I bet you he has enough power to KO Martinez.

118-110 was an embarrassment of a scorecard....

It was a good action fight. Chavez seems to have settled into a permanent style. He's a heavy hitter, but takes unneccessary punishment. I was expecting him to fold in the last few rds. With a DUI just 12 days before his toughest fight, a smart bettor would have backed Rubio. You just can't tell.

Considering his lack of top experience, he's doing well, in spite of the vicious attacks on him on this site.Glad to see some real appreciation for a change.

The victory should not be described using the adjective "impressive". But it is a win.

I could understand calling out Martinez & maybe Cotto(who's at 154lbs & at most will weigh like 165 compared to Chavesito's 180+ tonight), but ¿Margarito? Who's lost 3(2 by stoppage & in his decision lost got destroyed!!) out of his last 4 fights!! & his ONLY win since Margarito got caught cheating(with loaded wraps) has been a decision against a BUM!! C'MON Chavesito! From now on keep on fighting real opponents!!

I had the fight: Marco Antonio Rubio (115) and Juilo CesarChavez Jr (112) But
I gotta give credit to Jr. I thought he would lose via TKO in the 10th,

I don't think he's a heavy hitter at all, the guy is 180 on fight night and has just above average power at best.

It should be... but it won't be. I'd almost be willing to put money on it that it'll be Margarito.

Out of the 3 opponents Chavez Jr. mentioned, he has the best shot against Margarito. Margarito will go toe to toe with him, like Jr. likes. I'm not even sure at this point if Jr. could beat Margarito though, TBH.

I don't believe I've ever seen Julio fight a guy with any kind of movement what-so-ever. IMO, Martinez would be a nightmare for Chavez. He won't be able to bully Martinez around like he's used to doing with his opponents and Sergio is always moving. And Cotto may be smaller, but his box and move style - I believe - will leave Chavez frustrated and desperate, losing by decision if not K.O.

I'm pretty sure Arum is gonna choose Margarito though. Besides, Cotto's got Mayweather coming up, and Martinez is fighting in March. But, honestly the Margarito fight wouldn't be a bad thing at all really. Definately a tougher test then Rubio was IMO.

this proves that jr. is a cut above 95% of the middleweight class. now we just have to find out if hes better than sergio and pirog.
