Alamodome, San Antonio, Texas - WBC middleweight champion Julio Cesar Chavez Jr. (45-0-1, 31KOs) passed the biggest test of his career with a gutsy twelve round unanimous decision win over Marco Antonio Rubio (53-6-1, 46KOs). The scores were 118-110, 116-112 and 115-113.

JCC JR was overweight, dehydrated, was caught drunk driving-- and still dominated.

Good game plan by Roach. Bad game plan by Rubio.

        But credit to Chavez.

        Lets see Golovkin-Chavez

Pretty fun scrap, Jr is showing improvement but still nothing special. And for a guy who comes into the ring as a fucking cruiserweight he sure doesn't have that much pop.

Glad he won, though. I hope he fights Martinez, but I'll still be rooting for Sergio.

WTF? Calling out Martinez like that! I'll believe it when it's signed.
