  • The same thing that is wrong with the MW division is what's wrong with the HW division(except at HW they will duck the champ as well). That is contenders don't want to fight other contenders.

Anyways it seems Pirog has been willing to fight most fighters out there. More so than the other guys are.

And, I thought HBO was recently interested in a fight that proposed that he was involved in? It was against one the European top fighters can't remember who.

And, too bad Showtime didn't want to pull the trigger on a New Years match up against Geale.

        Stop with the excuses please.
Dzinziruk and barker got the fight out of sheer luck . Pirog shouldn't rely on that. Dzinziruk got Sergio because HBO made that ****** decision to promise Garry Shaw a date for Dzi in order to make Bradley vs Alexander happen. And Dzinziruk had at least fought on Showtime before and had some decent wins over Joel Julio and Daniel Santos. He's been highly rated for a long time. While not optimal since he was a Jr middleweight champion, he's done more than Pirog. Barker got lucky because nobody else wanted to fight Sergio at the time. Macklin is rated #3 by Ring, ESPN, and #4 on the BoxingScene list. Especially with his performance with against Sturm, he deserves the shot.

That's a perfect example of Pirog trying to make the fights he needs to, and having sh** luck doing so. It's just not happening for him.

Pirog was blacklisted by HBO because of Al Hayman. While it may not be fair to Pirog, Barker was the only guy that Martinez could fight at the time.

They got the fight because they were less risky.

                    Just be honest with yourself.

He makes good money in Russia apparently, I don't know that for a fact but it does get said a lot.

You would think for a guy that can make that sort of money he could draw a couple decent fighters to face him in Russia, not the top guys but solid guys that would allow him to make a name for himself to the point where he could actually start making some claims.

I don't care if he fight in America or not, but he could fight and beat solid oppostion in Russia as long as he is doing it well. It still might not lead to him getting Sergio or whoever the top guy is but at least his claims would carry weight and hardcore fans can really form a legit opinion of him.

As for us agreeing, it has happened before and it will probably happen again, I have lots of opinion just not all of them are popular, but a lot of them get discussed
