yea martinez refuses to fight him. so? thats not gonna change, so what do u do? throw a tantrum and whine about it? i dont get it, the guy might as well give up. because theres absoloutely no1 in the boxing world whos gonna demand this fight happen. just not gonna happen. so if thats what hes waiting for, he might as well retire.

So whats your plan of action? Fight on Espn? Dear god....yea martinez refuses to fight him. so? thats not gonna change, so what do u do? throw a tantrum and whine about it? i dont get it, the guy might as well give up. because theres absoloutely no1 in the boxing world whos gonna demand this fight happen. just not gonna happen. so if thats what hes waiting for, he might as well retire.Comment

Well I think that Dzinziruk was as good in the paper as Pirog. Pirog has only one good win and it was against an unproved Danny Jacobs for a vacant belt. Dzinziruk had wins against Lujan, Daniel Santos and Joel Julio, and around 8 or something like that title defenses. I don't get why Pirog is that much better when it comes to merits than Dzinziruk. About Barker as I said before, I won't argue it wasn't that much of a fight. So yeah they did even less than Pirog at 160. So I dont know why people act like Pirog is not worthy of fighting Sergio.
The only reason he isn't is because DiBella sees it as too big a risk for not enough reward. Lets be real here.
Which is exactly the reason Cotto/Floyd/Pac wont fight Sergio. So it comes across as very hypocritical
Now don't get me wrong, I like Pirog and I saw his victory against Jacobs and he looked pretty good, but Jacobs wasn't as good as people say he was.Comment

here is the thing Pirog is making much more then he deserves fighting bums in Russia so he won't even consider fighting on ESPN or on undercard fights the irony is he made less 100k fighting Jacobs and that was his best career moveyea martinez refuses to fight him. so? thats not gonna change, so what do u do? throw a tantrum and whine about it? i dont get it, the guy might as well give up. because theres absoloutely no1 in the boxing world whos gonna demand this fight happen. just not gonna happen. so if thats what hes waiting for, he might as well retire.Comment

There's no one he can fight on ESPN that would get him any closer to a fight with a titleholder. So why should he make crap money to be in the same position he's in now? Just being on ESPN against the same guys he is fighting now won't change anything for him.Comment

u have to start somewhere. pirog has a title, yes. but that title is just paper. it means ****. u guys are over valuing the title. the espn fights are to get his name out in america. its totally legit. **** floyd was fighting on espn past his 19th fight. but thats too good for pirog?Last edited by Kagami Taiga; 02-03-2012, 05:19 PM.Comment
