What's "laughable' is your excuse for Pirog having to travel the route that many a talented boxer has taken. Why fight fight a simular standard of fighter, when you can be paid more and never actually progress. More money for less effort, that seems to be Pirog's ethos!

I think it is you who has to stop with the excuses, as you've been presented with the truth many times, but you still continue to ignore the blatantly obvious. What a moron you are!Comment

I must have missed the part where you presented me with a source that said Pirog would only fight in the Ukraine
Still waiting. Hurry up.Comment

I have a first class honors degree, I doubt you even have a A-level to your name. So if you've mistakenly playing the intelligence card, then you need to be honest with yourself and at the resume of Martinez and Pirog.
Who, in your rather limited opinion, possesses a more impressive resume?... Pirog, a man whose only notable win came against a green, overhyped, weaklink, like Daniel Jacobs, as opposed to someone whose fought the likes of Cintron , Williams, Pavlik and Dzinziruk?
Had you any kind of prior understanding or knowledge of the sweet science, your answer could lead to only one path. The problem is that you seem to possess an extreamely unfounded hardon for Dmitry Pirog. A fighter who has repeatedly hidden behind the iron curtain, seemingly only willing to face sub-standard opposition.
I'll leave you to your unrealistic understanding of the sweet science, so you can go on about how James Degale will someday be a World champion, and some how feel validated by somebody elses acheivements. LOL!!!Comment

Lara is now getting some tv dates, has he sent an offer? How much do you think it would take for Lara to fight him in Russia? You think Lara's callout coming on the heels of Pirog's large offer to Sergio is coincidental?
If Lara lost, it won't look better than Jacobs on paper. He's undersized, has a recent official loss (I know), and a gift draw with an honest trier in Molina. Never had a belt, nobody's Prospect of the Year. I know he's better than that, but perceptions change quickly, see Jacobs.Comment

Yes, it would look better than Jacobs. Jacobs doesn't have anything like the Williams 'loss'. As opposed to fighting two stiffs and only twice since Jacobs, anything would be better. Talked this with you before. Whatever Pirog is doing...it ain't working. Try something different. Fight four or five times a year if it's going to be stiffs (though this could reflect poor management). The only guy who expressed any interest in him at all recently is Lara. If Lara balked so be it but that COULD be a makable fight. You apply apply pressure on big names via visibility and wins when all else fails. Showtime was at least interested in Pirog-Geale late last year. They have Lara on air soon. That's an avenue worth exploring in '12 and could be a hell of a fight.Lara is now getting some tv dates, has he sent an offer? How much do you think it would take for Lara to fight him in Russia? Rafael mentioned today Pirog might face Barker sometime soon (presumably) on HBO. It's not much improvement of foe but a step in the right direction. Anything is better than post-Jacobs. That was a good win to get the attention of hardcore fans but almost no one saw it (check the PPV #'s). Any momentum it gave has largely gone away.Last edited by crold1; 02-04-2012, 12:46 AM.Comment
