Ortiz was already bigger than Mayweather by 14 pounds on fight night. Size doesn't mean much unless its ridiculous and tough to overcome. Mayweather has beat down bigger men than Cotto.

Mayweather has legendary boxing skills and is good at applying pressure if he wants to.

Its not just the size, its his chin, its WW power, experience that Cotto has. And the fact that Cotto had been involved in great fights against the top WW's (but not much at JMW).. In other words he is a legitimate bigger opponent not just in terms of size, but in everything else.

What did Ortiz do in WW other than fighting a paper champ to earn a shot against Floyd.. Heck, what did he do in LWW...nothing...

Floyd has already fought people with better chins, power, and more experience against elite world class opposition. Oscar and Mosley

why are you bringing up your menstrual cycles? I thought you were bringing up points, and I'm shooting them down. What so unique about Cotto that Mayweather hasn't ever seen before?

If this fight ever got made, I would go for Cotto. But he would probably lose.

IMHO, in Floyd/Ortiz Floyd's defense was not as fluid as before. Cotto's experience may be enough to expose it but not so much to win the fight.

No brah, i for one will give floyd all the credit in the world for it. I gave him alot of credit for fighting ortiz. But dont get it twisted, cotto is alot better than ortiz.

IMo, cotto will be in the fight the whole fight, as floyd doesnt have the power to put his lights out. Yes he has power, but he doesnt throw it in volume, which is what puts cotto in trouble. Cotto will still be in the fight, throwing hard shots, which does not bode well for floyd.

This version of cotto stands zero chance sorry, I dont even see him having the luck to land anything that might even KO Mayweather, The Cotto of 2007 would have stand a better chance at this version of Mayweather but i would still even pick this version of Mayweather over the 2007 Cotto, He is too slow for Mayweather, Lacks stamina to compete with the top guys, doesnt have the KO power at this stage of his career that might KO the top guys, his jab is too late for the top guys, there is just too many holes in what Cotto does in the ring at the moment, And he doesnt fight well off the ropes, Struggles when or if backed up, Doesnt clinch when in trouble, all the general ring technics are missing with Cotto.
