He's never going to give a rematch to Ortiz. And on and on.

WTF! Who is next for Floydie? He might as well retire.

I think the *****s would prefer for floyd to face morales next.

Getting Floyd in the ring is the hardest battle.
Yeah he fights about once a year. Amazing how the hype remains for a fairly inactive and unexciting boxer, but then I guess no one else being able to beat Pacquiao has a lot to do with that.

Its more a hypothetical question, more or less addresing your previous post (#130 i think).

Obviously floyd is the favorite to win, but cotto most certainly has a legitimate shot at beating floyd. A better shot than floyds pervious opponents in recent years.

I wonder what's people's opinion, on who's the most recent Mayweather opponent that's better than Miguel Cotto?..

I never really gave Cotto much of a shot but I don't really view him as some different fighter than he was in the past either, so I can understand why if someone liked his chances in the past they would like them now also.

Besides it is not like Floyd is like the guys that beat Cotto, so there is a lot of unknown about how the fight will play out.

Never know for sure until fight night, it would be interesting to see how both guys would try and deal with the other.

floyd protectors are content talking about floyd winning in fantasy fights. they don't have to actually see it. makes me wonder why they don't want to see a fight that's a surefire win for their idol. it's more looking like they're terrified of cotto for their idol

in this case, *****s in this thread are unanimous in saying cotto is too weak for mayweather. if that's the case, then get martinez, dumbos. but nope, he's too big for mayweather they'll say. how about canelo? nope, he has to win more battles before facing floyd. wtf!

who do you want for floyd then? berto? man aren't you sick seeing floyd against an underdog? seems retirement is the only real choice for this guy.

I was expecting this answer..with that said..DLH-Mayweather was about 5 years and 5 fights ago..

I'm not saying Cotto is better than that DLH, and Mayweather may very well dog walk Cotto, but I don't think it's as bad of a match-up as most people try to make it seem..Cotto could have some early success with a decent jab and a straight right, the left hook would be absent all night tho..

I mean, Mayweather-Martinez makes 0 sense if it's at 150lbs, his recent pictures look as if he's having to work hard enough to get to 160lbs and he's also 37 now, a 150lb Martinez would be like the DLH that Pacquiao fought..

Based off styles, Cotto is the best match for Mayweather..what else is out there really..

I've been saying the same thing. Mayweather fights at a much relaxed pace unlike Pac. Top it off Cotto is pretty accurate with his punches. Not as much as Marquez of Floyd but still very good. If Mayweather makes Cotto fight backwards and takes him off his gameplan...I think Cotto is fucked.

But as far as your question on who's better, that's all opinion. You may think Cotto is while others say another person and both could have a good opinion.
