The idea of Cotto being ranked above Mayweather literally makes me laugh out loud.

Also, Cotto basically beat guys like Sosa & Corley strictly on size like he did alot of his fights at 140. If they were close to the same size then he might have lost those fights. He was just too big for them, yet both those guys were bigger than Floyd. Common comp doesnt mean anything when you dont take into account all the factors

        Pretty laughable assertion.

Cotto, Castillo & Corrales all have about comparably even resumes as it stands right now.

It can be argued that both Castillo & Corrales have greater resumes than Cotto. There's nobody on Cotto's resume outside of Mosley, that are even close to being as good as either Castillo or Corrales.

        That's a damn good question.

10 years into his career, and in his 3rd weight class. He still to this day hasn't beaten a divisional lineal champion or a fighter that was regarded as #1 in their division. Floyd's done it 4 times. Both Castillo & Corrales have done it at least once. Cotto... we're still waiting for him to beat just a top 5 rated fighter at Junior Middleweight.

Cotto never even beat a top 5 ranked fighter @ Junior Welterweight

Remember I not saying Cotto ranks above him now, but if he beats Pacquiao.
How on Earth is Shane Mosley a better Lightweight than Jose Luis Castillo?

Castillo is without question a better Lightweight than Shane Mosley who only fought 2 or 3 ranked fighters at Lightweight.

          Juan Diaz better than Castillo?

          Get a clue.

Jose Luis Castillo is one of the Premier Lightweight's of this era.

Castillo should be inducted into the HOF before Cotto ever does.

I'd say Castillo is a boarderline HOF'er I personally wouldn't vote for him because there's many who deserve to be in who are yet to be inducted but Castillo definitely deserves it more than Cotto IMO.

Epsecially if you consider him to have won the first Mayweather fight (I don't personally)

The fact this idiot has the audacity to say Juan Diaz Lightweight is comparable to Castillo's is just out of this world ******ity.

Not even Marquez man, not even Marquez. Castillo beat a prime Casamayor at least (Personally, I had that a draw) but still.

Very good win, still doesn't help Cotto when it pertains to the question your asking.

                      Absolutely.

Like I said, Castillo is one of the premier Lightweight's of the last era.

                      His run was excellent.

If you consider him to have beaten Mayweather the first time he is a first Ballot HOF'er.
