Hold on... Clottey vs. Cotto and Cotto vs. Mosley were two close fights. And some people might even say Mosley and Clottey beat Cotto. Floyd did a better job against Mosley than Cotto. He left nothing on the table, dominated Mosley after the 2nd round, and showed everyone he can be the aggressive fighter and make his opponent back down.

Like I said, Castillo is one of the premier Lightweight's of the last era.

      His run was excellent.

If you consider him to have beaten Mayweather the first time he is a first Ballot HOF'er.
      Yep,

Casamayor so underrated man, the fact that he was well past it and went tit for tat with Marquez before getting stopped is a testament to how good he used to be. Lets also consider that he stopped Katsidis, first to beat him I believe. I like Marquez, but his LW resume is no way "much more impressive" as he put it, than Castillo's.

That too, although I had Cotto beating Mosley clearly, and edging Clottey who stepped off the gas.

A prime Casa gives Pac and Floyd hell at the lower weights. In fact I would favor him comfortably over Pac. I've always said that. He was so good.

For the record Cotto has two loses by stoppage, it would take an impressive win over Pac and another top opponent to go on top (maybe Martinez at 154)

I agree, very difficult fighter to deal with. In the bold, same here.

Castillo is without question a better Lightweight than Shane Mosley who only fought 2 or 3 ranked fighters at Lightweight.

              Juan Diaz better than Castillo?

              Get a clue.

Jose Luis Castillo is one of the Premier Lightweight's of this era.
Mosley 8 defenses, all by KO.
              Diaz 6 defenses

Castillo two reigns only 5 defense

Maybe have a point with Marquez, he did come late in the day to lightweight, so maybe lacking a bit on resume.

So? I mean, how many defenses Chris John got, or Felix Sturm? It means absolutely nothing if your not facing tough opposition. I'm not saying Diaz wasn't, or Marquez and Mosley (Mosley definitely wasn't) but Castillo clearly fought the better opposition.

I dont think Cotto should be above Floyd. If Cotto beats Manny then Cotto should move up to 3 or 4 P4P while Manny being right after him.
