With that said, which top heavyweight of the last 20 years hasn't been?
When he gets caught, I'll frown, but until then hes just playing the same game as everyone else.

Hes still a better boxer than the rest out there not named Klitschko. (Possibly with the exception of Solis but hes a fat piece of **** that deserves little to no credit for how he conducts his pro-career)
His physique helps, because he uses it to build his style, but it's not the deciding factor to why hes a champ.
Its hard for me to believe so many people are in denial of the very real possibility of this. And I'm not just talking about V, but many fighters. I guess some just need to hold on to their illusions.

    • Speaking of steroid users in boxing...Shannon Briggs has announced he is coming back to boxing. Does anyone believe for a minute that he hasn't been juicing for years? I met him years ago when he fought in RI early in his career. Since that time he has put on 45lbs of pure muscle.

      • most people who've used once will use again just look at ben johnson, but in fairness there is no proof only opinions and possibilities. My vote which was not an option would be 'innocent until proven guilty'

Seriously. Conte has said boxing is one of the sports most rampant with PED abuse. I think the perception of the steroid denial has quite a bit to do with a certain "new to the sport" fanbase that hates drug testing and was never exposed to the BALCO scandal among others. Canada, the US, Western Europe have had this PED crap stuffed down our throats for a decade.

Of course he is as well as many others. The people who are not even receptive to the idea that Vitali COULD be using them are nothing more than hero worshipers.

            • Vitali on steroids........

literally doesn't just end your career.. HE ENDS YOUR PHOCKING life. That's all you need to know & speculate about. Thank your lucky stars Vitali is not a sports cheat. If he were on steroids he wouldn't have 2 defeats on his record due to injuries.. he wouldn't have had a 4 yr injury induced retirement. ONLY thing that has ever stopped Vitali from having an immaculate record & nearing a 60-0 mark is INJURIES..

What does steroids do? It keeps injuries at bay.. SOMETHing Vitali has never had the luxury of controlling with a controlled substance.. except for one instance at an exhibition match. It also jacks up your physique. VITALI has been lean & mean all his professional boxing life. His weight steady each & every phocking fight.. no strange weight gains... no extra destruction upon opponents.. same consistent beatdowns EACH & EVERY fight..

I suggest we all shut the PHOCK UP & have a dream ONLY for this most special of days but keep it moving as the calendar progresses. Until you get me a photo of Wlad injecting a needle in his big bro's a$s.. i suggest we all shot the phock up. END OF THREAD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

              Thx MGMT

              • But but.....khm.....he's not American. And he happens to be great.

How do you expect any non US fighter dominating his division for so long not being accused of taking steroids? He must be taking something!

Exactly, he's neither born in the States nor an American citizen, which is already su****ious. People suspect Pacquiao of using rods because he's made some rapid weight gains in the past years. Klitschko well, he hasn't mady any weight changes, but, umm....he is dominating and not from the States, so he MUST be on rods. Nobody could deny that given these two FACTS.

                    End of discussion.

The irony is that its usually Americans that get caught juicing.
