But Floyd lands far more than 5 punches a round man??? Mayweather is more along the lines of Whitaker, where as Leonard was more along the lines of Ali.

Mayweather and Whitaker are probably the Top 2 defenses of all-time, to me at least.

Mayweather counters at will, but I just still got Ali in his prime over anyone.

Floyd is extremely well-rounded. My only knock on him, is that he doesn't let his hands go more. He opts for the pot-shot approach a little too much for me. If he fought everyone the way he fought Gatti, he'd EASILY be the ATG.
        He is EASILY the ATG...

I edited my post up there. Read it again.

If you throw less but land more effectively than your opponent, than isn't that a sign of good offense? Focus on the word effectively.

That is a terrible way to judge, either a guy is effective or he isn't~

Trying isn't being effective so it does not matter.

Accomplishing something is better than accomplishing nothing in a round.

Scoring fights is about effectiveness, if you can't overlook style your insights on judging are beyond meaningless.

Sugar Ray leoanrd is probably more all rounded then Mayweather. He did everything really well, whereas Floyd is a mainly defensive fighter.

The difference between Floyd and Pernell: Whitaker made dudes miss without sacrificing his own offense; Whitaker let his hands go. Floyd makes people miss while buttoning up and not throwing very much.

What is the object? WInning correct. At the lower weights floyd had everything. WHat he lacks now is a product of his move up in weight.

He still lands at an above average rate though while throwing at a below average rate.
