5x nothing is still nothing. You no throw punches you no generate offense. The object in boxing if you want to be great isn't to try and skate by doing as little as possible. You might get away with it when you're fighting detritus like Floyd does, but you get tagged with a big fat L when you get in the ring with one of the greats and try that ****.

It wasn't that long ago that judges punished that kind of BS on the scorecards.

Weve established Floyd isnt even the most well rounded fighter today let alone of all time, so why is the thread still going on?

Anyone with a better resume musst be presumed to be more rounded than Floyd.

I'm not trying to say Floyd does as little as possible and gets away with it. Because I don't believe Floyd does that. Floyd does what he has to do to win. If that means making his opponent miss than so be it. If that means throwing little jabs to the body so be it. In the early rounds sometimes, Floyd isn't trying to hurt the other guy. A jab to the body isn't a hurting punch, but it is a strategic punch to set up punches upstairs later in the fight. It's not about throwing or even landing the most punches. It's about landing the most effective punches. Or maybe Floyd is just trying to make his opponent miss. A lot of people who never been in the ring before doesn't know how tiring it is to miss a punch. Not just tiring, but frustrating. No matter how little it appears Floyd is doing, just know that there is a purpose to it.

Is that so? Probably because he dont punch that much and only concentrates on defense. He is economical, but dont mistake that for well rounded.

Like I told the other guy: Why don't you just come out and admit you have a personal bias towards one-dimensional defensive specialists and be done with it?

Anyone with a better resume and has fought better fighters and fought more must be presumed to be more well rounded.

In addition to landing the most effective punches, at the same time he cuts the opponent's work rate so much it's crazy. He gets criticized for not landing/throwing as much as others, yet he still lands more than his opponents in a fight and throws much less. This speaks volumes.
