okay well explain to me where floyd is lacking? because if you say punching, he sure does outland all of his opponents while decreasing thier work rate this style of fighting makes the opponent actualy think about his next move, when a fight becomes a thinking mans fight and you become mentally frustrating because you cant land what you want or stop whats coming at you that there is equivalent to alot of punches and spiritually draining.

Compared to who? Club fighters like Baldomir and Hatton? Get real. I'm talking about fighters like Ray Leonard and Pernell Whitaker.

Roll my ****ing eyes. I've just spent the last FIVE ****ing pages explaining it.

Just admit you have a bias towards that style of fighting and be done with it. No amount explaining is going crack what amounts to your personal preference.

Compared to the average welterweight. The whole discussion is centered on being a well-rounded fighter. Is that not part of it? We're not talking about being A+ in every aspect of his game. The amount of punches he lands is not A+, but it's definitely above average.

In boxing, when you're one of the top fighters in the game, you don't get compared to the average scrub. You get compared to the greats who came before you.

If you're seeing it that way, then nobody should even be in a discussion for well rounded fighter. That's a perfect fighter discussion, not the most well rounded one.

Exactly. So I don't see why Floyd has to be A+ when it comes to amount of punches he's landed. He's a fighter that's in the well rounded discussion because he still does that very well, and other aspects of his games are at an elite level.

He doesn't have to be A+ to qualify as "well-rounded".....But he does have to be better than C- and compared to the greats he isn't.

                      Per round stats

Roy Jones Jr's 18 title fights from 93-02: 21 landed
Mayweather Jr. 18 title fights before DLH: 20 landed
Whitaker 18 title fights from 89-97: 27 landed

I wouldn't consider Mayweather punches landed at C-
