all time ranking isn't based on head-to-head, it's based on accomplishments/resume and skills. Maybe Roy Jones beats leonard at 160 but quite obviously Leonard was at his best at 147 so that's kinda irrelevant.

Ray Leonard is in the top 5. I think as far who the greatest fighter was in their prime, it's got to be Ali. From 64-67, I don't think anyone would have beaten Ali.

But, Ray Leonard gets less respect sometimes I think because of the Hagler fight maybe, not sure. He's definitely top 10, probably top 5 in my book.

Roy jones has a few great wins, hopkins & toney for example, but nothing compares to leonard's resume, not modern day fighters. Duran, Hearns, Hagler, Benetiz. That's just incredible.
Im a HUGE fan of RJJ but to dare to say that he has a better resume, thats just crazy, blasphemy!!!!

No sir... It's far from blasphemy..

Let's see off the top of my head:

Hopkins, Johnson, Tarver, Toney, V. Hill, C. Woods, Ruiz @ heavyweight, and I'd even throw Paz in there.

It wasn't so much who Jones beat, but it was how he beat them.. Jones won all of his fights hands down before he met Tarver, after fighting for like 16 years undefeated...

              Blasphemy???? Come on man.

EDIT: I forgot to add Griffin in there as well.

Whoever said Ruiz was some p4p king?

The fight was at heavyweight... Jones started out as a junior middleweight..

Leonard was a bad boy, don't get me wrong....

Maybe I'm just biased towards Jones because I look at a prime Jones as being the greatest fighter of all time... I'll admit that, so I'll just leave it at that.

                      Who gives a ****.....

I mean SRL was great but he was beat pretty clearly by Duran....so why is it hard to imagine that another elite fighter could beat him clearly.

I dislike Floyd, but his talent level is on par with Duran, Leonard, and Hearns...and IMO is a smarter fighter than all three and also more skilled.

It's possible that Leonard beats Floyd via wide decision........and it's also possible Floyd wins a clear decision as well (8 rounds to 4). I just stated my opinion, and pretty much how I have always felt about this fight.

You "old school fighter" nuthuggers kill me, thinking no fighter from this era could hang with those ATG....when thats simply not true.
