I'm making all the sense in the world and I would say the general public agrees that Bute hasn't done anything but watch the SS for the last few years. Everyone knows this. Where have you been?

Once again, at this stage "no one" deserves a shot a Ward. They all need to fight each other to determine the next contender.

In other words, you know that there's no one out there more deserving than Bute, but since you don't like him, nobody should get a shot! Just let the undisputed World Champion sit on the sidelines instead of staying active. Ridiculous.

So by your criteria Ward beat Abraham when he was coming off two losses, so he should have beaten him much more easily than Froch did. But in fact Froch beat Abraham much more easily than Ward did, even though Ward is better than Froch.

The fact is, Froch's performance against Abraham was his career-best performance, in the eyes of anyone who understands boxing and is rational.



He has not had a rough tourney at all. He's built up a good resume, but it was far from being a rough schedule. He has only been fighting twice a year, which by historical standards is a walk in the park. He took very little punishment against Ward, despite being outclassed. He had a good battle with Johnson but didn't take much punishment in that fight either. He took no punishment at all against Abraham. He took a reasonable amount of punishment against Kessler but that was nearly 2 years ago, and it was a long way from being a beat-down, and he had loads of time to recover afterwards. He took a few isolated good punches against Dirrell but nothing that he wouldn't recover from in a matter of a few days. And that's it.

Against Ward, he was as energetic in the final round as in the first round, and never let up for a moment. He showed no signs whatsoever of being shop-worn - he just lacked Ward's skills.

You simply have no evidence to back up your claims.

Yes, that's what I'm saying and I'm sure Ward agrees.

I'm saying Ward should sit out until his opponents sort themselves out with fights, not promoter politics.

So you're now admitting you think Ward should effectively retire in the meantime. That's bad for his career, bad for boxing, and just ridiculolous.

Always with the making no sense. I don't really have anything to worry about, since I could give two ****s about Bute. That ****** will get his ass kicked soon enough, by someone, if it's not Ward.

I don't think much of Bute at all. Relatively speaking, he's an overrated, fragile show-pony who will be exposed as a much more average fighter than his fanboys supposed.

I'd be just as happy to see Froch smash Bute's face in next and for Bute to **** off and die.

But why should Bute be discredited for beating Froch, BTW? Who else is there for Bute to fight to gain the legitimacy needed in your eyes? Cloud? Why Cloud, a LHW? What is this reaching bull****?

But is the next best guy anymore, deal with it.

Regarding them actually fighting, I hope you guys have plenty of patience because you won't be seeing it for quite a while. Well at least until Bute increases his resume and grows some testicles at least.

If he's spent now, he was spent when Ward faced him. Better chalk off one of Ward's relevant wins (one of his two best wins), then.

Then you're incapable of being rational.

He's built up a great resume but only at the rate of two fights a year, giving him 6 months to recover between fights, and has taken very little real punishment. If you call that a rough schedule you simply have no idea what the words mean, or you have no knowledge whatsoever of boxing history.

Ridiculous is a good description for a great deal of what BoxingGenius27 writes. I'm starting to wonder whether he's just trolling, because it's hard to believe he can seriously mean most of what he says.
