  • Comments Thread For: Team Bute: Hopkins a Good "Plan B" if No Ward, Froch

Both Bernard Hopkins and Jean Pascal are not in the immediate plans of IBF super middleweight champion Lucian Bute (30-0, 24KOs). The Montreal star is focused on landing a 2012 showdown against WBA/WBC champion Andre Ward, or former two-time champion Carl Froch.

Jesus Christ, Bute is so reluctant to actually fight anyone at the top level i dont even get annoyed by it anymore. Hes going to retire with a joke of a legacy.

Hopkins is a master at taking away a fighter's best weapon, which is Bute's left uppercut in this case. I wasn't one bit impressed with Bute against Johnson, or Magee for that matter. If Hopkins is anything like the Bernard who fought Pascal, he should win this. Bute doesn't have the pace or jab to trouble Hopkins, that all caters to Hopkins, especially at this point in his career.

Ward is already ducking Bute. I doubt he'll change his mind after Bute made Hopkins quit within a round or two. Also only a handful deluded Americans would watch that fight anyway because the rest already feels ashamed of that boring quitter fraud and have little to no interest on watching the next chapter of Hopkins disgracing himself, the sport and his country by puling yet another chicken hearted performance that only consists in holding, fouling, whining, complaining and quitting anyway.

Bute needs to fight Hopkins or Cloud next if he wants to increase his resume.

Bute has been fighting guys coming off losses for the last few years. When will this guy step up and fight a live challenger as opposed to fighting someone's left overs.

Hopkins A quitter and Ward is afraid of Bute?????? Ward and Froch have had the toughest schedules in boxing over the past 2 - 3 years - that is a major toll on ones body - Bute has sat back and fought C - B level comp, thats not fair to then try to challenge the best 2 super middles after such a grueling schedule - and to the guy who went on a rant about hopkins quitting, just look at the tape you emotional bandwagon turd, the man was scooped up and dropped on his shoulder, with dawson holding his legs while he dropped him - that is why there are more competent people with integrity that make decisions and do not go off emotions for the most part - calling a 46 year old man who is still an elite in the sport a whinning quitter - funny dude....you probably think clubber lang was one of the greatest, and got a short count by the ref in Rocky III
