All ward has to do now is defend his title for a decade, make 20 successful defenses with it, then move to LHW and beat the best at that division (who knows who that will be in 2021?)

Then he will be tied with calzaghe

for me calzaghe was better though
Really??? The guy ducked Glen Johnson 3 times!

It's funny that whenever Calzaghe is brought up it's always in a hypothetical situation. It's always about what he would do, and never about what he did do. Think about this. We are comparing a 27 year old kid's resume to a retired veteran with 20 title defenses at super middleweight, and there is a question as to who's resume is better. That says a lot about what Joe did in his career, and why there are very few outside of the UK that respect him.

Debate settled right there, cant believe people are even discussing this, ward has fought 2 good fighters so far neither of who are elite, i think its a joke that people are putting ward in P4P lists the guy still has a long way to go yet!

Ward's best win is a past it kessler who he headbutted 5 times (most on purpose) and grabbed Kessler almost 90 times.

              I agree.

All he has to do is defend his Title 20 more times and he will be finally tied with Sven Ottke at 168.

It's a shame that Ray Leonard is so far behind Felix Trinidad at Welterweight because he didn't equal Trinidad's 15 title defenses and holding his Title for 6 years.

Calzaghe, he would have won this tourney, he would have beat the crap out of Froch even worse than Ward did, it would certainly of been a tough fight between ward and Cal but he would have had far too many tricks and way to higher work rate for Ward to have overcome him, just a shame he ddint stick around to do this tourney, all that said Ward is the deserved winner although id like to see him fight a in form Kessler.

                      Based on what?

The lack Wars he's been in?

The change from 28 to 30?

His non-existent bad performances in the ring post Calzaghe?

The fact he had the best win of his career a year after he fought Ward?

I'm suprised he was such a heavy favourtie to win the tornument considering how blatently past it he was.
