Vitali is the undisputed king of winning fantasy fights against great fighters in the make believe world of the internet.
Somehow these fantasy victories haven't translated well to the realm of reality, seeing as though he's 0-1 against ATG Heavyweights in the real world (and this is against an overweight, past-prime, inactive one at that).
0-2 against fighters above B- level.Comment

It's like saying Valuev automatically beats Vitali because of his size "advantage". It's rather n00bish and just straight up ignant.
Anybody who places more of an emphasis on size > skill ESPECIALLY in the Heavyweight division is just straight boxing illiterate.Comment

Joe made a routine out of KOing guys twice his size.No disrespect to anyone specifically but the people who voted Joe Louis are doing it simply from atg status and not an actual H2H matchup. Louis simply couldn't compete with Vitali with his size. I'm sorry but he wouldn't even be competitive and would get manhandled in short fashion. Just too small people.
Buddy Baer 6'7 250 lbs KO1

Abe Simon 6'4 255 lbs TKO 6
Primo Carnera 6'6 260 lbs TKO 6

If Vitali fought with this style, he would've gotten knocked out too.
Still caught Louis with a good punch at 4:46. This was their first fight.Comment

6'8ft 250lbs with brutal power vs. 6'1½ 190lbs with a suspect chin.............................................. ............lol. . . size means nothing without skill, everybody knows that. . . vitali would counter-punch louis to death. . . reflexes, ring intelligence, and power all favor vitali. ..
sure louis is a better conventional boxer-puncher. . . but that plays into vitali's hands all the more. . . it would be hilarious trying to see louis even make solid contact with vitali.
Wow impressive win for Vitali! ATG victory for Vitali!

everybody is saying Vitali would have been too big for Louis, but he wasn't too big for ByrdAnd besides being black and hailing from the same exact state, what are the similarities between Louis and Byrd? Perhaps you can point out the various fights of Louis that involve a considerable amount of upper-body movement to evade blows in the same manner that Byrd did.
too much emphasis put on sheer size
Louis was taller, bigger and stronger than Byrd
Louis may not have had that kind of upper body movement, but just like Byrd, he would have been able to get to that chin, but causing a whole lot more damageComment
