Ok, I said I wouldn't respond to any posts, but just one.

If Vitali was the same size as Louis, he would no longer be Vitali but a different fighter altogether. It's a dumb analogy. That's like saying that Shaq O'neal would still play like Shaq if he weren't over 7 foot tall. Yet are other 7 foot tall Centers as great as Shaq was?

If it's just size, any 6'7 guy would be owning guys left and right, yet we've seen plenty of big guys like that flop. The ignorance is astounding.

Mayweather revolutionized the defensive style of shoulder rolling. The Klitschko's revolutionized the most effective way of fighting as a tall fighter.

Who cares how many fights they had when you can just pick numbers to try to make a point.
If your legacy is based on meaningless KOs, at least be the best at it.

      Vitali: 40 meaningless Kos
      Primo: 72 meaningless KOs

They both have weak win resume's and both failed once they stepped up in competition. I compare KOs, only because they suck at everything else.

And besides being black and hailing from the same exact state, what are the similarities between Louis and Byrd? Perhaps you can point out the various fights of Louis that involve a considerable amount of upper-body movement to evade blows in the same manner that Byrd did.

The IRS fucked him up but good. I don't really see how that's relevant though.

The I.R.S beat Louis down in a manner than not even Schmeling and Marciano were able to manage.

Klitschko's size would be a real problem.

Like Buddy Baer's was? How about Primo Carnera? Or Abe Simon? If you're picking him based solely on his size advantage, you would be in a rude awakening.

No disrespect to anyone specifically but the people who voted Joe Louis are doing it simply from atg status and not an actual H2H matchup. Louis simply couldn't compete with Vitali with his size. I'm sorry but he wouldn't even be competitive and would get manhandled in short fashion. Just too small people.
