Floyd gave shane $8 mil guarantee. Miguel gets at least $10 IMO. Floyd's take is based on several factors other than ppv sales. You have to read the NYtimes article about it to understand.

The seats will be more exspensive, the ppv more exspensive, and since it sells more it generates more. Floyd can easily make his usual take.
wtf ***** are u smoking on??? cotto bring ZERO to the table for floyd at this point. MAYBE if the fight happen 5 years ago but now? LOL.. who the hell would wanna see a floyd vs cotto?? floyd gave shane $8mil because like u guys said that was when shane was still at his best correct? now your telling me cotto who lost to pac and just beat marg which also lost to pac and floyd will give cotto $10mil?????? your the only one hoping for a floyd vs cotto fight haha.. your trying to hard with your debate about how cotto staying with bob arum oops i mean top rank is a bad idea lol..

You are wrong. Him offering cotto $10 mil doesn't mean he will make less. IT means cotto generates more so he gets more.

Again for you to suggest Miguel Cotto would only sell 50k more ppv's vs. floyd than otiz is either you hating floyd or you just talking out your ass. If this were true then Marg cotto wouldn't have been a ppv fight.
        read response above.

are you saying Cotto got as good drawing power as Oscar? because both fights did 1.25 against Manny.

Like i said, its all about opposition, and perception, and timing. No doubt Cotto on his own draws more than Ortiz, but you also gotta look at fan crossovers.

Shane Mosely draws 50k ppv on his own, and yet he managed 1.4mil against Floyd? Like is aid its timing and perception. Shane was a legit WW fight after Floyd retired after Hatton. JMM fight everyone knew was bogus.

Actually beating Cotto, who is the 3rd biggest money bringer in the sport gives Floyd yet another jr middleweight championship, true story.

I'm not hoping for a cotto floyd fight. I simply think its better for him financially to go with GBP because they have more lucrative fighters right now.

Cotto brings about 300-450k ppv buys I would guess. As such, he would get a higher guarantee.

After a manny fight, who else does TR have to fight Miguel thats lucrative?

I know, I know. That's why he beat 2 in a row, right?

Cotto can improve against Pac, he won't be able to beat him.

My main reasoning for thinking JMM wouldnt get trampled by Pac like most thought was those first 6 rounds of the Cotto/Pac fight. Take the knockdowns away and Cotto's up 4-2 going into 7.

I don't think he can avoid those punches like JMM can though because he doesn't have a right hand to keep Pac honest. Eventually he will get hurt, and he will fall.
