JR Middleweight Champion of the World Boxing Association (WBA), the Caguas native, Miguel Cotto, today expressed no doubt in defeating Manny Pacquiao in a second fight if given the chance.
Cotto comes from defeating Mexico's Antonio Margarito last Saturday via TKO10, who gave him his first professional loss in 2008.
"I have no doubt about it (I can defeat Pacquiao). I understand that yes, I understand that with courage, with the quimic that is now in the group, we have no doubt about that, "Cotto said in an interview with Primera Hora in the home municipality of Caguas.
Pacquiao is the current welterweight champion and beat Cotto in 2009 via knockout in the twelfth round. So, Cotto is waiting for the circumstances for a possible rematch with the Filipino, considered the best pound for pound boxer in the world.
"Everything falls over time. This opportunity (against Margarito) I was given to me three years later. I'm not saying I'll be here three years later from now, but if it provide to me ill fight him, everything is possible, "said Cotto.
