Lewis & Holyfield were at 2 different points in their careers when they met up. He caught Holy at the right time, and couldn't even beat a past prime Holy all that decisively (as he should have) in 2 attempts.
And whether or not he has a H2H victory over Holyfield or not, Doesn't change the fact that Holyfield still has had the superior career as well as a superior resume.
He got knocked unconcious in under 6 in his prime by a worst fighter than Toney, Ruiz & Byrd, what makes you think that if if he had've decided to continue his career on fighting too long past his prime that he wouln't have accumulated several losses to even more sub-par fighters?
There's a reason why he decided to retire when he did, because he was smart enough to know that he could no longer compete at the highest levels of the sport, so he hung 'em up.

Lewis would never have lost to Toney, Ruiz, Byrd... or Larry Donald IMAO
