How you going to take a mans win?
Take away Ortiz win against Berto, take away Mosley win against Margarito, take away Oscar win against Mayorga, take away away Baldomir win against Judah, take away Judah win against Spinks whens the last time they won a meaningful fight?
It's kind of ******ed to use that type of logic.Comment

Wazaa is right.
Cotto good fight against a good fighter and a good win.
Then it got worse with Clottey. But, still OK. Because, of his great run in 08 and 09 that a Clottey fight seemed good.
But, then the opponents got worse and he followed it up with Margarito.
Then it got even worse and he followed that up with Mosley.
And, now it got even worse and his following that up with JMM at 144.
So yes since Cotto he hasn't improved his legacy.Comment

Clottey, Margarito and Mosley are lousy opponents, but insert someone else in there and it wouldnt be any better either.
Sorry, but fighting Andre Berto or Victor Ortiz during that time span is not gonna do much for his legacy either. Mayweather just beat Ortiz, is anyone saying Floyd's legacy got better since De La Hoya? It has remained the same.
Berto is unskilled and a bum. It only sounds like a sexy name because he was undefeated at one point and has power and is young.
Pac's legacy is intact, he was Fighter of the Decade and only has Mayweather to fight.Comment

which pre-fight interview pray tell, did clottey say he was supposed to lose?Explain in detail why you think this...
Other than the guys being "Bigger" than him, none of the guys he faced had anything left.
Clottey: He basically admitted in pre-fight interviews & post fight interviews that he was "Supposed to lose", plus he just lost the fight before (Bob fixed that fight) plus Clottey was not allowed to re-hydrate to much.
he lost his last fight against Cotto in a CLOSE FIGHT. and rumors of him not being allowed to rehydrate to much are just that.. rumors. no respectable news outlet ran that story.
dead man walking? MOST of Margarito's fights were at 147 dude. and you say at 150 he's dead man walking? meh.
crap fight. no argument from me there.
yeah. and that's why floyd decided to cheat with his weight just to be sure that he wins against a smaller, older foe in spite of having ALL the advantages in his favor.Comment

In light of what has happened with Margarito since I simply disagree, period. Everyone has their own opinion on Margs and the plaster but I simply do not view the Cotto win in the same light anymore, that is my opinion, and I think it is more than substantiated considering the man is a proven cheater. Think what u want. How you going to take a mans win?

Every fight u named above has not involved a proven cheater except for one (Margarito vs Mosley) so please don't for one minute try to act like they are even remotely similar situations.Comment
