He's reduced that tendency greatly since that fight, and not coincidentally his defense has improved.

pacquiao was still lunging causing imbalance in his stand during the pac/cotto fight. Though, I agree with you, that tendency was noticeably reduced. I didn't noticed it much in his fights against Margarito and Mosley.

Take note of his not so balance posture here during the pac/cotto...

His balance is so awkward that he doesn't look like he's balanced at all but manages to get a shot in.
I think that is one of the underrated aspects to his game and that is how he gets off some of those weird angled punches.

he got better since he started fighting weight drained damaged goods at catch weight ..and if they're signed by top rank then even an easier fight..gtfo here with this catch weight fraud.

I just know fools beez disrespecting marquez by saying how they are not interested in the fight because they don't think he can compete at the weight. . .

1.) marquez has fought ONCE at 144, and it was against the hardest style to compete against, for ANY boxer, WEIGHT NOTWITHSTANDING. . .
2.) He rehydrates to the same weight as Manny - he is the same natural size as Manny
3.) Manny went life and death with Marquez two times before.
4.) Manny is NOT A NATURAL WW anymore than Marquez is. . .
There is simply nothing to deduce that this fight will be any less competitive than the first two. . . Unless. . . Could it be? Has Manny gotten better? We'll see on fight night. . .

                    Cottos defense sucks...

it has nothing to do with "angles"....

look at what Margaritos "angles" did to Cotto's face..

when you have no head movement and no defense, you will get busted up.

JMM lost both fights because he can't take a punch

1st fight was way wider than what they gave him
there's a 3rd because Pac's staying busy waiting for Floyd
the trilogy fight is pointless, Pac will beat him again and prove nothing
he's had 4 fights at Lightweight. He's gotten dropped once.
thats 1/4 which is 25% LOL

furthermore in those 4 fights he's knocked out 3 out of the 4 opponents. which is a 75% KO ratio at Lightweight.

He can't take a punch yet, he got up and still took more rounds and Pacquiao couldn't stop him.
Hell I don't blame Pacquiao for wanting every possible advantage against him.

It seems like every fight after the Cotto fight has been a "stay busy fight" while he waits for Mayweather.
